Savage Ranch and the benefits of the boom

Roy Savage, his brothers and mother negotiate with 12 energy companies that want to drill for natural gas on their several thousand acres in Garfield County. Savage says the industry has brought value to their ranch in a way that their cattle operation never could. Savage is the Rocky Mountain president of the National Association of Royalty Owners, which wants an industry that produces clean energy.
