McGovern to Denver: Keep convention "real"
In Part 2 of the Unconventional Wisdom series, George McGovern, the 1972 Democratic presidential nominee, advises Denver Democratic Convention planners to use their prime time television slots wisely, highlighting the best that the Democratic Party has to offer. He further warns not to produce too "slick" of a convention, to avoid alienating the viewers.
