He was just proud, as most of us are, of our country's future with Barack Obama. Plus does 10-15 seconds of him holding up his fist with a glove really bother you that much... well I guess if you supported McCain you don't understand much at all about what happened this last election.

I worked long and hard on the campaign for Barack Obama, and I completely disagree with you, UNV_ME. When I was on my own time, driving around, offering rides to people to the polls, calling other volunteers to assist, mailing out information to those asking for it, driving all over the country to get out the vote, I was well within my rights and opinions to voice my thoughts. When I was at work, getting paid by my employer for my time and service, I never once discussed this election, my feelings towards the candidates or anything else. I was there to work.
That said: YAY!!! obama!!! We are witnessing the dawn of a new day. Not because of his color, but because it is the first time in over 8 years that we have an intelligent, confident, calm and respectable CIC.

I voted yes on this poll but after reading your post Garip I changed my mind. On the one hand I like people being free to express themselves, but you're right that you really shouldn't when you're on the job. He's there to play football after all. After the game he can do whatever he wants to express his happiness about Obama being elected.

I now understand what he wanted to do if that was the real reason. However, it appeared to me that he was pulling a
T O on us and I was not real happy about it. With the way Winborn and the rest of the defense was dancing around, for no reason other than doing their job, this appeared to be nothing more than another hot dogging bronco.
Keep it in perspective broncos and you can dance when the season is over...hopefully.

Brandon Marshall said he didn't care about the fine............the FINE?................TO H#### WITH THE FINE !............IT'S THE 15 YD. PENALTY THAT WOULD'VE RISKED THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME. Brandon Marshall gave NO THOUGHT TO THE TEAM, NO THOUGHT TO THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME. He spent the whole game waiting to show-boat, and really stunk it up on the field. Brandon Marshall was focused on his celebration, not focused ON HIS JOB. If he was genuine about the political statement, he would've done like i did, VOLUNTEER, get out in the community and promote the Obama / Biden ticket. This type of celebration, regardless of the topic THIS TIME, will always be a problem with Brandon Marshall. There is nothing about him that is TEAM-ORIENTED. He says he's all about the team, well, he clearly gives no thought what so ever as to what that even means.

Let me say this, Brandon Marshall has every right to express his political view off the field of play and in a non-football setting. What he tried to do was immature, thoughtless, disrespectful of his teammates (especially in a competitive game) and totally selfish. What I would like to know is if Brandon in his infinite wisdom and emotional state went to Obama's Colorado headquarters and volunteered his time and financial resources in any way to get out the vote, to express his opinion in phone banks as other more famous celebrities did and finally did he do anything at all to support Obama to get out votes in other communities and ethnic groups.
My own opinion is that he did not !!!!!!!!!! Crying in a press conference shows his immaturity and lack of concern for his teammates and the task at hand for the Bronco fans of Colorado which is to win games.

Come on gpcolorado - I know I missed the press conference, but according to the review of it, Marshall admitted he shouldn't have risked trying to wave the "unity glove" when he did and actually thanked Stokely for stopping what could have cost the Broncos the game. HOW IS THAT "crying in a press conference"? As was pointed out by Lou from Littleton on 850 last week, Marshall had a severe youngster's lack of judgement - and fortunately was stopped. If he had waved the glove as he came out on the field, or waved or even worn it on the sidelines, or even waved it after the win, we wouldn't be having this discussion - and at least Marshall admitted that he was wrong, just as he admitted he ran a wrong route & cost Cutler an interception. Seems to me he is taking responsibility - and learning from mistakes.

Marshall is a thug, and , always will be. Just because, Obama, won doesnt'e mean you make a statment on the field. I wish he wouldve done it, and Broncos lost. I wonder how people would've felt then? BTW- he didn't do anything, until the lost minute of the game. HEy Brandon where were you, the first, 58 minutes?

with his talent, one year left on his contract, the emergence of eddie royal, the ongoing lapses in judgement, has anyone thought of this possibility; trading marshall in the offseason for some impact players on the defensive side of the ball? i think this scenario makes alot of sense considering we might not be able to sign him in a year.
