Sure, Thor, he only tied Tom Dempsey for the longest field goal and kicked FOUR game winning field goals last year. We can replace him with the grocery bagger down the street, no prob. Plus, in the NFL we know how much easier it is to score a TD than kick a silly field goal.

BTW, I thought the animation was pretty funny.

The animation was still pretty funny though.

Yeah, it was funny. I remember that people cried when Elam missed some clutch kicks and praised him when he made them. Such is the nature of football and such is the nature of fans, I suppose. I am not a field goal kicker so I'm not one to judge. I may get disappointed but I won't crucify him either, unless it's the 5th one in a row. By then I may be ready to think we need to look for someone else. Although it would have been nice for Elam to retire as a Bronco, he didn't. So I'm going to support the new kid and that's what he needs from the fans, support. Support builds confidence. Confidence produces positive results.

jakesmith99,The cartoon was humorous (but incorrect). I would have to wonder the same thing about him. He has nothing nice to say. He is like the cartoonist in political editorials from the newspapers. Always sarcastic. But then, what else can you draw, with his type of characature type drawings? I suppose it wouldn't be funny, then, if he attempted something serious. I mean, cartoons generally make fun of people, so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Elam is probably one of the best kickers in NFL history. Hall of Fame for sure. But he's a kicker and if were leaning on our kicker every game then were in serious trouble. We leaned on Elam last year and we finished 7-9. We probably would have had a simular result if we never kicked a field goal and always went for it on 4th down.

When Mason Crosby entered into the draft, I prayed that the Broncos would take him. Regardless of whether or not it was "too high" to take a kicker. A kicker like Crosby doesn't come around every year and even though it wasn't the best timing since Elam was still with Denver then, the Broncos should've pulled the trigger. Now the Packers can enjoy some stability in their kicking game for probably as long as Elam was with Denver while the Broncos can keep looking.
