'THEY STOLE MY BIKE,
DEMMIT!'
First the Democrats killed his bills, then they stole his bike.
At least that's how Sen. Greg Brophy sees it. He swears a Democrat pilfered his "beater" bike, chained up on 18th Street in downtown Denver on Wednesday night. After all, he said, it's a Democratic town.
"This wouldn't have happened in Wray. This is Hickenlooper's fault," BrophyDOWN said, only slightly tongue-in- cheek, referring to Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper.
"I bet whoever took my bike voted for Obama."
Someone reminded Brophy that Republicans voted for Barack Obama. Change and all that.
TWEETS FROM THE FRONT LINE
"I'm twittering now from the Capitol, things like, 'Those Democrats just killed another gun bill.' "
Sen. Dave Schultheis R-Colorado Springs
AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN
Today is Military Appreciation Day at the Capitol, and it just won't be the same without Jack Taylor.
The Steamboat Springs Republican, who served 16 years in the legislature before being term-limited in January, always showed up in in his dress Navy whites.
PRESSURE RISING
14 0/100Sen. Nancy Spence's blood pressure when it was taken at the 9Health Fair at the Capitol. The Centennial Republican said it's usually not that high, but she might have been thinking about Democratic education bills.
