The Rockies on Tuesday signed four players to one-year deals, leaving only third baseman Garrett Atkins as the only Colorado player facing arbitration.
The team signed infielder Clint Barmes, right-handed pitchers Taylor Buchholz and Jason Grilli and left-hander Jorge De La Rosa. Barmes will get $1.625 million with a $25,000 award if he makes the National League All-Star Team. Buchholz will make $1.055 million plus performance bonuses of $20,000 apiece for 40 and 50 games finished. De La Rosa will be paid $2 million salary with performance bonuses of $25,000 each for 180, 190, 200 and 210 innings pitched. Grilli will make $800,000.
On Monday, the Rockies reached terms on a one-year deal with right-handed closer Huston Street, and his $4.5 million deal was finalized Tuesday.
Barmes, 29, hit .290 (114-for-393) with 11 home runs and 44 RBI in 107 games for the Rockies in 2008. He played three infield positions last year, splitting the majority of his time between second base (54 starts, 61 games) and shortstop (32 starts, 36 games).
Buchholz went 6-6 with a 2.17 ERA in 2008, making a career-high 63 appearances for the Rockies.
De La Rosa went 10-8 with a 4.92 ERA in 28 games, 23 of them starts.
Grilli went 3-3 with a 3.00 ERA in 60 games for the Rockies and Tigers in 2008. He was acquired from Detroit for minor league right-hander Zach Simons.

Good news. Before he wore down at season's end, Buchholz was the Rocks most consistent pitcher. Grilli and De La Rosa aren't stars but ate a lot of innings when no one else did. Gonna need guys like that unless a miracle happens and Morales and Hirsch suddenly fulfill their potential.
Barmes made a great comeback and is the definition of the word grit.
Need to sign Atkins and not let him get away.

Take 'em to arbitration, GA. Us fans know your worth is a lot more than the front office wants us to believe.
