Sci Fi Channel has renewed its investigative reality hit, Destination Truth, for a third season after achieving double-digit ratings growth in Season 2, according to NBC-Universal. World traveler and intrepid explorer Josh Gates will return to host nine new episodes scheduled to premiere this fall. Gates takes viewers around the globe in search of answers to some of the world's most intriguing unexplained mysteries. The new season will include United States-based investigations - in Alaska and Florida - a first for the show.
8years is enough, actor Tony Shalhoub says of portraying character Adrian Monk, the obsessive- compulsive private investigator on the hit cable-TV show.
The second half of the seventh season of Monk began airing Friday on the USA Network, and the Green Bay, Wis., native will start shooting the last season in March. Shalhoub also produces Monk and said he wants to produce more after the detective show ends. Shalhoub has won three Emmys and a Golden Globe for his work on Monk.

Puppies, kitties and a singing parrot are all scheduled for Super Sunday (Feb. 1) on Animal Planet. While the Eagles or Cardinals battle it out with the Ravens or Steelers (how'd they get in there?) for the Lombardi trophy, Puppy Bowl V offers an alternative.
This year, shelter pups (all in need of homes) will tussle while veteran sports broadcaster Harry Kalas calls the action. At halftime, kittens take over. A new addition to the Puppy Bowl fun is a rendition of the national anthem by Pepper the Parrot.
