A Pueblo County rail worker lost both legs below the knees Tuesday when he was pinned by a section of track that was being loaded onto a rail car.
The victim, David Clark, 45, was flown by a Flight for Life helicopter to St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center, where he was in stable condition, sheriff's spokeswoman Deputy Laurie Kilpatrick said.
The accident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. at Chemtron Rail Products just outside Pueblo. Clark, a Chemtron employee, had been loading track onto rail cars and tying them down, the deputy said.
As he reached for a box of bolts, another rail section was being placed onto the rack of a car, pinning Clark between the rack and the rail, Kilpatrick said.

Just horrible. Wishing him God's speed in his recovery. Thankfully he still has his life and family for support. Bless them all.
