It pays to plan ahead.
To wit, aren't we all glad we loaded up on treasury bonds, picked up that extra degree in college and got out of real estate back in '07? What . . . ? You neither?
That's because no one bothered to spell out the future for us. But 2009 will be different. We've compiled a list of everything important that's going to happen in the year ahead. It may not help you find a job or sidestep those stock market land mines, but it will help ensure that you don't miss the baklava at the Greek festival, Taylor Swift at Cheyenne Frontier Days or Wicked at the Buell.
