Thornton Police are searching for three teens accused of ramming a car at 3:35 this morning, pistol-whipping its occupants and fleeing with wallets.
A man and a woman in a Gold Crown Victoria, stopped at the stop sign at 96th Avenue and northbound Pecos Street, Thornton Police spokesman Matt Barnes said.
A red 4-door sedan, possibly a Hyundai or a Subaru, lightly rammed into the Crown Victoria.
The man in the Crown Victoria got out of the car and confronted two Hispanic men and one African American man, all seemingly in their late teens.
Two were wearing black bandanas and one was wearing a yellow bandana, the victims told police.
All three were carrying handguns, They pistol-whipped the man, knocked him to the ground and told him to stay there.
They pulled the woman out of the car and gave her at least one pistol-whip to the head. She also was knocked to the ground.
"They tried to steal the car, but somehow they weren't able to," Barnes said. They took the man's wallet and fled in the red sedan.
The victims suffered minor injuries and refused treatment, Barnes said.
The two Hispanics spoke Spanish to each other, the victims said.
The victims thought the car was a Hyundai, but debris left in the wake of the collision suggests it was probably a Subaru.

Oh RMN, what a silly little altercation. The two were only SLIGHTLY hurt and the car only LIGHTLY rammed the victims car. Were they not GENTLY pulled from their car and CAREFULLY pistol whipped. Be consistent with your stupid political correctness.
There is a reason gun sales are through the roof and please don't spin it overwise.

This bears an uncanny resemblance to the robbery of the Lone tree woman. Must be the new gang banger crime of choice. I remember a few years back, the ram and rob tactic was popular in Miami. That is until people got smart and started shooting the balls off of the little turds. We can thank Hickenloophole for allowing us to all live near a sanctuary city. Ah to live where your assailants speak a foreign language while robbing us.Kind of an exotic vacation adventure, and all with ought the hassle of leaving home! Keep up the good work Johny, there may be a presidential appointment in it for you yet. After all, they cant passably sell all the good positions for straight cash with ought getting caught; Can they??
