COLORADO SPRINGS Be on the lookout for a man with white shoes and black shoelaces: He is a suspect in an armed robbery at Popeye's Fried Chicken, 3815 E. Pikes Peak Ave.
Colorado Springs Police said three suspects entered the business about 9:30 p.m. Friday and demanded money.
One had a revolver and another had a large knife, police said. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money the suspects fled on foot.
While other parts of the description were hazy, police said two of the suspects appeared to be cross-eyed.

Wow...great descriptions!
The police must have had a shift change around 10pm & thus the lack of anything helpful.
Sounds a little fishy.

Did they talk about the shoes/shoelaces first so they wouldn't offend other cross eyed people?

Now if rather than cross-eyed they appeared to be pop-eyed, then you'd have a story.

So what are the chances when you get any group of people together that 2/3 of them are cross-eyed?
I think the clerk was cross-eyed too. That's why "other parts of the description were hazy". They robbed him because he was the only one who could look them in the eyes.
