BOULDER It could become the most-talked-about oval in Boulder.
Boulder Indoor Cycling’s brand-new 142-meter velodrome — the first such indoor bicycle track in Colorado — officially opened Friday and has already attracted more than 200 memberships from the city’s rabid cycling population.
And the enthusiasm isn’t limited to Boulder cyclists.
Kevin Bennett, 36, said he would be making the trek from his home in Westminster to ride around the track on a regular basis.

Does this mean that the peddling morons will stay out of the middle of the traffic lanes on the streets now?

HaveHarleyWillTravel : Bicycles have the right to the road as cars do. They should also be abiding to same rules, some don't but that's not the issue. Be patient on the road.
I live in Denver and plan on visiting velodrome, I don't own a car and commute strictly by bicycle. Going to boulder by bike isn't a problem. However, I would like to spin out on the track and not waste all my energy on the way there. Also, I would prefer to use a track bike there and not my street bike. So unless you have a locker at there with your track bike waiting, driving is the obvious choice.
Since I don't drive I will probably bus it though. Cycling is lots of fun and great exercise. You should check out velodrome!
Just trying to educate the unknowing! :)

Why is an article about an indoor track in the outdoors section?

Maybe because they don't have a cycling section here and it is alternative means of excercise/training?
People train for all sorts of outdoor activities indoors - what's your problem?
