For Rocky subscribers
If you're a Rocky subscriber, keep reading. The following addresses questions about Rocky subscriptions, comics and other features, now that the newspaper is closing.
If I subscribe to the Rocky, will I automatically get The Post?
Yes.
What if I don't want The Post?
"We would encourage Rocky subscribers to give the new Denver Post fair consideration," said Denver Newspaper Agency spokesman Jim Nolan. "They're going to see some familiar Rocky columnists and reporters in The Post."
Can I get a refund?
Yes. "Our refund policy will be the same as it has always been," Nolan said.
Whom do I call to take care of my Rocky subscription?
Call the Rocky at 303-892-6397. Outside metro Denver, call 800-892-6397. Call The Post at 303-832-3232 or 800-543-5543.
Where can I do it online?
post-newscustomercare.com.
What happens to the Rocky comics and syndicated columnists?
"All of the comics and many of the Rocky's puzzles and syndicated columnists are going to go to The Post," Nolan said.

I think the point is that most people believe the news should be reported in an objective manner. Many (most?) news outlets today are biased to the left and seem to push the liberal agenda.
I am sad to see RMN go and wish all involved the best of luck.

IRUNMAN, what is wrong with their desire to not read "news" articles that always obviously lean left? Why support a view that you don't agree with?
I assume you run, from your screenname. If you only run races 10k or less, would you subscribe to a running magazine that catered to Marathon runners, and ridiculed those that ran "only" 5k or 10k races? Or, if you run marathons, would you subscribe if the newsletter catered to 5k and 10k runners, and felt marathon runners were fanatics and lunatics? I don't think so.
What the posters were saying is, they won't support a paper that caters to the left, even in the way they write "news" reports. When the right's position is never reported, why read the paper every day? They may pick up an issue occasionally, to get the left's opinions, but they won't support it through subscription. Freeedom of choice. Does that make sense?

I was so disappointed when the News merged with the Post, and more disappointed when the Post aquired the biggest edition of the week (Sunday). It doesn't add up to me. Wasn't the Post the one about to go under before the News joined with them? This is outrageous. How did it happen?

I have supported the News because their reporting was more traditional then left. I put up with Litwin, Griego, and Johnson despite there leaning to the left. But I could not support the unfairness in the Posts Liberal writtings. I had hoped that the Rocky's demise might pulll the Post to the center, and I could subscribe to the Post. But the first thing I heard was that the post was hiring Litwin, Griego, and Johnson. I think I will look into the Wall Street Journal.

I like reading the news in print. I often see interesting articles that I might miss online.
As for stories with which I do not agree, it is good to listen to other opinions. Sometimes they make sense and expand my horizons. They also make me more tolerant and understanding of my neighbors in this world.

JMaster, once again you polarized my comment more than intended. I simply indicated that if I don't agree with the spin put on news articles, I won't subscribe to that newspaper. Just like you not sending money to the Republican party.
You are the one that exaggerated my comment to a whining level. And, who's the moron? You can't even punctuate your sentences.

I will miss "My Rocky", but I will give The Post a chance, partly for the sake of those Rocky staffers that will be working there. The hard copy of the paper is just more personal to me than sitting at a computer. Left or right, journalism is always biased in some direction. Humanity is always chosing sides. No matter where or how we get our news, we need to be informed. The Rocky is dead. Long live The Rocky !

Wrong. You confuse "voting the bums out" with "voting for a liberal agenda". This past election was a "bums out" year.

I grew up reading both of the papers. One brother delivered the Post when it was still an evening paper and the other delivered the Rocky. I read both papers for their news and the comics. I have never read them because one was more right or left than the other. In fact, I never understood the difference and still don't even though my mom has tried in vain to teach me.
I will miss the Rocky dearly mostly because I liked the tabloid style of the layout, which made my morning read easier at the breakfast table.
I'm glad mom's and my's favorite columnists are moving to the Post so we can continue to read them. Maybe having them side-by-side will make it easier for me to understand the differences better.

Left wing, right wing, who cares. The Post is garbage, in news coverage, photo, editorial, style, and readability. If all that matters anymore are those primadonna columnists...... I can't even believe how this has been so much about them.
Singleton is a whiny bully (did anyone catch the headline today about the "Winning Paper Trail"?). And oh! Dean! Thanks for the two robo calls to my answering machine and your condescension like we're all the unwashed stupid masses who need a widdle hand holding because we want our Wockie!
The people who jobs disappeared after 3 months of torture lose, good journalism loses, Denver loses.
Yes, I'm emotional about the business decision that Scripps made. That doesn't make the Post good. Hiring a few minor local celebrities doesn't make the Post a good paper.
With a very sad goodbye, and against all I wish the world was, I join those who no longer have a print journalism option in Denver.
My carrier couldn't get it to my front door before 8 AM anyway.
