PepsiCo. buys bottler Lane Affiliated

Pepsi Bottling Group Inc., the sodamaker's largest distributor, agreed to buy Lane Affiliated Cos. to expand in three western U.S. states.
The purchase of the more than 70-year-old company is the fourth this year for Pepsi Bottling and expands the distributor's reach in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.
Lane, based in Colorado Springs, employs 600 people and has production facilities in Colorado and Arizona and three warehouses.
Lane is now PepsiCo Inc.'s eighth-largest U.S. bottler.
