The Cherry Creek Schools Board of Education has chosen Deputy Superintendent Mary Chesley to replace outgoing Superintendent Monte Moses.
Chesley has worked in the district since 1989 in teaching and administrative capacities. She has been deputy superintendent since 2007.
Board President Aagje Barber said in a news release that Chesley "is able to build on the current momentum towards our twin goals of excellence and equity and college preparedness for all students - she has clearly demonstrated that she can inspire confidence in her leadership among staff members and the community."
