Even with dipping temperatures and yellow school buses quietly reminding us that fall looms, it's still not time to scurry indoors and reach for the winter jacket.

Sale-wise, in fact, it's the perfect time to think summer fashion and outdoor living.

* Hundreds of items are marked down as much as 60 percent for a bigger-than-usual end-of-summer-sale that starts today at Birdsall & Co.
