Which matchup are the Broncos more likely to win Sunday?

Maybe just being a little healthier will help get the Broncos back on track.

During his weekly press conference on Wednesday, quarterback Jay Cutler proclaimed that the much-scrutinized index finger on his throwing hand was no longer a problem. Add to the equation the hoped-for return of offensive stalwarts Brandon Stokley and Tony Scheffler, Cutler should have all his weapons at his disposal for Sunday’s showdown against the Miami Dolphins at Invesco Field.

Stokley returned to practice Monday after missing the New England game because of the lingering effects of a concussion.

“It feels pretty good,” Cutler said. “Getting those guys back and maybe getting Tony back, it helps out. It helps out our offense and what we’re trying to do. It was good to get a break and get refreshed a little bit.”

stokes might be the most important receiver on this team. look at our performance when he's on the field versus when he's NOT on the field. he always gets open, can't be covered one on one and not only doesn't fumble (knock on wood) but doesn't drop passes... EVER!!

when it's 3rd down and long, who does jay cutler usually end up finding? stokes! granted, 15 is being double covered, but that is the point. where are the REST of our receivers at when marshall is being doubled? stokes doesn't have excuses, he just gets the job done. having him back this week will allow the offense to explode (instead of IMPLODE)

I agree with part of the statement, first it's Stokley ... and the reason he is a very important part of the offense is because Marshall is such a threat he usually catches double coverage.
So when it is third down and long, going to Marshall is almost out of the question unless he burns the first corner and can get underneath the safety. Royal and Marshall do not really have excuses either, they are just still young and to a point inexperienced. I say with Stokley leading and influencing these guys it won't be long before we see a great improvement with their possesion abilities.

I do agree, with him back and hopefully the CHEF (Scheffler) we will be able to spread out the defense and break em down the way we did in the first 3 weeks. As well as having Torrain in some ... which will provide a running game outside of the tackles!

GO BRONCOS!! Let's take away the deep ball and theoutside curls from Pennington and stuff the middle to take this team to the next level!
