I am seeing the writing on the wall. Whoever our next President is he will move us one step closer to a universal single payer healthcare system. While in therory it may sound great, as a diabetic with very good insurance now, I worry how this new systme will affect my care and my pocketbook. Sure I would love to save money on healthcare. Being a diabetic is certainaly not cheap, but, do I now want the government to tell me they won’t pay for my pump because I am not poor enough? Yes, I WANT a guarantee that my care will NOT change. I don’t have any waiting period for my Endocronologist, I get my supplies right away and my prescriptions are covered!! I just don’t see that happening with THIS current set of Beaurocrats, or the ones we are about to get!!

    You are right, Liz.

The government fails at nearly everything it attempts to do. So why do we want to increase the government???
Can somebody help us understand that proposal by obama??

If Liz has a really good deal now, I don't blame her for worrying about a change. I also don't blame the millions who don't have a good deal now for wanting a change.

"Americans think the U.S. health care system is in need of major repairs, according to a CBS News/New York Times poll. Nine out of 10 say the system needs at least fundamental changes, including 36 percent who favor a complete overhaul."

The big problem with universal health care is that it would cost so much less. That's not good news for those who have been making a killing off of our current system.
