Sen. Barack Obama will speak at Civic Center about 11:30 a.m. Sunday then head to Fort Collins for a rally at Colorado State University.
Tickets are not required for either event, although people are encouraged to RSVP at co.barackobama.com. Admission will be first-come, first-served.
Gates will open for the Denver event at 10 a.m.
The public entrance will be near the Greek Theater on 14th Avenue between Bannock Street and Broadway.
Access from Colfax Avenue will be prohibited.
The afternoon rally at The Oval on the CSU campus is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m., with public access at University Avenue and West Drive starting at 1:30 p.m.
Limited public parking will be available around the Jack Christianson Memorial Track and on campus at University Avenue and Mason Street and at College Avenue and Lake Street.
Car pooling and public transportation are recommended, and no signs, banners or bags are allowed.
Singer Ben Harper and actors Zach Braff and Laura Dern will stump for Obama this weekend.
Harper will perform about noon Saturday at a rally in Civic Center.
The "Red to Blue" rally will start at 9 a.m. It will include appearances from local politicians and other local musical acts, the Obama campaign said Thursday.
Harper then will join his wife, Dern, and Braff for a 2 p.m. "early vote rally" at the University of Colorado's Mary Rippon Theatre.
Braff plays Dr. J.D. Dorian on television's Scrubs. He also starred in the films Garden State and The Last Kiss.
Both events are free and open to the public.

Wow! Who are they? McCain has Elway.
Obama has some Hollywood unknowns flying in to Colorado on to try to salvage his sinking campaign.
Rough day for Obama....
Obama gains bad national attention by having one of his low IQ thug supporters attack a woman who has a McCain bumper sticker on her car. National media forced to cover it, as Pennsylvanians are outraged that Team Obama does such criminal acts. Obama is forced to interrupt his training session with his financial bosses to apologize for having violent criminals supporting him.
Then Obama learns that no one anyone has heard of from Hollywood will be the only help he can muster for Sunday... while McCain gets the biggest help in Colorado of all..... ELWAY!
Then the pollster that was rated the most accurate in predicting 2004 Presidential election, released a poll today showing Obama collapsing and McCain in a dead heat with him!!!

Laura Dern? Fine actress. Still not A-list.

Now Biden is coming out making excuses for their forecasted poor performance if Obama 'wins' (and we all lose). Here's a prediction for you. If things get better, Obama is a savior, if they are the same or worse... well that is of course GW. Bush's fault.
Democratic Playbook:
- Lie, cheat, and steal. Invest $35M in Acorn to encourage voter fraud. Encourage same day voting, cause Mickey Mouse and Rip Van Winkle deserve a chance to support Obama.
- Resist regulation of Freddie Mac and Fannie May (Barnie Frank), while receiving kickbacks from the companies (Obama, Clinton, Dodd)
- Force new laws that require employees to join a union, increase small business wage expense, and drive taxes higher, all the while
- Finally, attack little ol' Joe the Plumber for dreaming of owning his own business instead of addressing the bigger picture... Spreading the Wealth.

Do you have data supporting that claim? Republicans I know don't believe either assertion as there is nothing supporting them. What "a large number" of American's know to be true is that O'Bama sympathizes with people viewpoints that were terrorists, people that are radical muslims and perhaps that causes concern.
It seems also to be true that many Republicans, not unlike some Democrats, are fearful of what the other leader might bring. I don't think many hate O'Bama - just his radical social and "spread the wealth" economic policies. Unfortunately, not even Repub POLITICIANS are showing the right economic intelligence.

Excerpted Quotes:
“This housing crisis - - -was a direct result of the political decision, back in the late 1990s, to loosen the rules of lending so that home loans would be more accessible to poor people.
One political party - - -tried repeatedly to tighten up the rules. The other party blocked every such attempt and tried to loosen them. - - - it was Senator Christopher Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank, both Democrats, who denied that there were any problems, who refused Bush administration requests to set up a regulatory agency to watch over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.. This financial crisis was completely preventable. The party that blocked any attempt to prevent it was the Democratic Party. The party that tried to prevent it was the Republican Party. Yet when Nancy Pelosi accused the Bush administration and Republican deregulation of causing the crisis, - - - the press did not hold her to account for her lie.
Now let's follow the money right to the presidential candidate who is the number-two recipient of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae. You just give up on the "disastrous past 8 years" rant, can you? What have YOU got to support that outlandish statement?
A President doesn’t really have that much relevance to a capitalistic system. But, the level of Bush-bashing is ridiculous. Everything is his fault, according to the Democrats. So, how about we turn their logic back on them and see how it plays out?
George Bush has been in office for almost 8 years. The first six the economy was fine.
About two years ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) The Dow Jones hit a record high--14,000 +
5) American's were buying new cars and living large!...
But American's wanted “change”! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress. In the past two years:
1) Consumer confidence has plummeted;
2) Gasoline went over $4 a gallon at one point;
3) Unemployment is over 6.5%;
4) Americans have seen their home equities erode;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
6) The Dow Jones has dropped by almost 40%.
In 2006, America voted for change, and we sure got it!
Just what has Congress done it the last two years? Not much, unless you consdier their constant negativity and denigration of the economy. Their “leaders” have been saying we were in a recession since the beginning of 2008. We weren’t! But, they have finally achieved their objective, just in time for the election.
Now, Obama claims that he, along with the Democrat Congress, are going to really give us change. Just how much more “change” do you think we can stand?

Well, nObama, McCain himself griped about the Bush disaster just yesterday, pandering to the voters in a Washington Times interview, part of which is shown here:
"In an interview with The Washington Times, Mr. McCain lashed out at a litany of Bush policies...'Spending, the conduct of the war in Iraq for years, growth in the size of government, larger than any time since the Great Society, laying a $10 trillion debt on future generations of America, owing $500 billion to China, obviously, failure to both enforce and modernize the [financial] regulatory agencies that were designed for the 1930s and certainly not for the 21st century, failure to address the issue of climate change seriously,' Mr. McCain said in an interview with The Washington Times aboard his campaign plane en route from New Hampshire to Ohio."
Source with audio: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2...
If the Bush admin has been so great, why doesn't McCain request that Bush campaign with him? Could it be because Bush could go down in history as the worst president of all time?
And, McCain's campaign is a mirror image of Bush. McCain's campaign is run by lobbyists and Karl Rove proteges. Like Bush, McCain is using fear and distortion as his main campaigning tactics. McCain is just Bush all over again... he just doesn't want to admit it....

Rick, Nobama I have a few questions maybe you help me with. Rick, how do you know the guy was an Obama thug sent by Obama to do that? Maybe he was I must admit, I really don't know. Maybe he was sent by McCain to make Obama look bad, or by the Palin people to take the focus off the $150,000.00 clothing purchase, if one is possible so isn't the other.
Rick, I've read the article, if this all started in the 90's (it may have, I must admit, I don't know), between 9 and 19 years ago, why is this crisis only showing up now? Do you think that if the Dems were solely responsible for this mess from the 90's, its something the Republicans could have fixed during their time in power when they had the white house, the house and the senate or why wouldn't they have exposed it sooner when it could have made a difference? I heard Greenspan speak and he made no reference to this at all, why do you suppose that is?

All of you Republicans can vote McCain and cut your nose off to spite your face.

“Who is the Real Ben Harper”
In the Black community (which I hail from) this is what some say about. Ben is a wanna be Bob Marley..We use to love us some Ben Harper until he married that white girl, she was dating Jeff Goldblum and when that was over, she accepted Billy Bob Thornton's love invitation, his wife filed for divorce. Dern and Thornton became engaged then Dern said: "I left our home to go and make a movie, and while I was away my boyfriend got married. Thornton had fallen for Angelina Jolie (white girl went on to steal married man)the couple were bragging about their sexual exploits all over. Dern said that was "like sudden death". Her best friend Meg Ryan (yeah, other white girl cheatin on her husband) look it up…
Ryan introduced Dern to rock star Ben Harper,himself in the throes of divorce.
This was to educate the old folks…….and to dig up the dirt that the Dems enjoy knowing…Joe The Plumber).
Wisdom from Ben
" We let anyone carry a firearm, and then we make an uproar when a 10-year-old kid comes to school with a gun. What is more important: the Constitution or the lives of our children? Americans are big hypocrites: they're always complaining about violence but they each have a gun in their drawer. Uzis aren't made in L.A.,they're imported, they're brought over the border. Guys in office buildings whose job it is to sell them. Let them start by changing careers, let the politicians fight against this scandalous trade, and then the streets may find the peace they used to know". "I have Indian blood in me: I'm Cherokee on my I know what it means to feel oppressed -- my ancestors were exterminated -- and yet, to me, nothing justifies violence. I belong to a race forgotten by history. They never talked about my people at school. At home I read dozens of books on Indians, and I cried when I learned the truth. So I have every reason for hating.”
“We all have a responsibility to ourselves,I know some people who smoke pot and they get really creative, it brings out the best in their genius. And man, I know people who smoke and are idiots.”
Ben went on to write a song …
“Let us burn one from end to end and pass it over to me my friend”.
(Sounds like the chant from the 60’s and 70’s)
How original and modern of Ben to rip off a generation before him.
“I try to be a man of my word rather than a thug who repents afterwards." The only unity that exists is the racket set up by the state with taxes: Money they steal from us without letting us know what it is used for. I lose a lot of money to taxes. Half of what I make is siphoned off to the government. Before I even see any of it, half of it is siphoned off. The thing to do would be to say: "OK, we're going to take half of your money, but at least you get to decide which institutions will use it.”
I guess Ben did not hear about NOBamas “WEALTH”

Turns out to be a hoax. Gee, what a surprise.
"Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter "B" in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker.
Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car.
Police investigating the alleged attack, however, began to notice some inconsistencies in her story and administered a polygraph test.
Authorities, however, declined to release the results of that test.
Investigators did say that they received photos from the ATM machine and "the photographs were verified as not being the victim making the transaction."
This afternoon, a Pittsburgh police commander told KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin that Todd confessed to making up the story.
The commander added that Todd will face charges; but police have not commented on what those charges will be."

"Senator Obama assures us that he has a very clear target of just the top five percent of income earners. And anytime you hear talk of a targeted tax increase, you might want to double-check the skill of the marksman -- the U.S. Congress has been known to fire wildly. Remember the Alternative Minimum Tax? You probably do if you're one of the more than 30 million Americans currently threatened by it. That "targeted tax" was originally aimed at just 155 specific people. Once enacted, taxes have a way of spreading and rising. And that is why, as president, I am going to put a stop to the out of control spending, so we can keep taxes low.
The McCain-Palin tax cut is the real thing. We're going to double the child deduction for every family. We will cut the capital gains tax. And we will cut business taxes to help create jobs, and keep American businesses in America.
As Joe the Plumber and small business owners across the country have now reminded us all, America didn't become the greatest nation on earth by giving our money to the government to "spread the wealth around." In this country, we believe in spreading opportunity, for those who need jobs and those who create them. And that is exactly what I intend to do as President of the United States."
