The tickets, which are required for entry, may be picked up at the campaign office at 6334 S. Racine Circle in Centennial.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m.
McCain will then travel to Colorado Springs for two events with business owners. Those events are not expected to be open to the public.

Doors open at 3 p.m. For tickets, RSVP online at www.johnmccain.com.

- Hollywood and rock stars - they all live in fantasy worlds that we put them in
- Millionaires & several Billionaires - because they connect with Obama's elitism and they know "whats best" for the rest of us
- The unemployed who in some cases are in hard times at the moment, but in other cases just want the gov't to take care of them
- Students who don't have much self experience but have been indoctrinated by their teachers that are of course in unions that want gov't money w/o oversight or liberal professors who've never had a real job and promote socialist ideas
- Staunch Liberals who hate this country because it is strong and because of our great ideals and our Christian beliefs
- Heads of corrupt organized labor unions - the people in the unions aren't corrupt but many of the people who run those organizations are.
- African Americans as well as many Latinos, Asians and Am. Indians that support Obama because they think their lives will somehow be bettered. Although when I've asked a few people they couldn't give me any specific reasons.
That is pretty much Obama's base.

Elway, like everyone is welcome to join the political fray - one need not guess why.
Elway has never appeared particularly intelligent or politically astute. May well be why McCain is his man.
While McCain has recently been accusing opponent Obama of being a socialist and desiring to "redistribute the wealth" - McCain is not admitting(or recognizing) that over the past 27 years through deregulation and privatization - no bid contracts, and sweet deals for coporate powers funded by taxpayer dollars GOP policy(which he has supported whole hog.) has seen the largest transfer of wealth(To the wealthy and their political base.) in the history of the world. More money is concentrated into fewer hands than ever before.(Along with corruption, just one of the reasons our economy is in such poor shape.) This process is corporate socialism - accompanied with the increase in debt and support for the Wall Street Bailout McCain is furthering his support for corporate socialism.
It is pure hypocrisy for McCain to criticize anyone for being a socialist - its just that Obama' s "redistribution of wealth" is directed at more Americans and not those who makeup the GOP corporate base.
Elway helped encourage and oversee( It was actually blackmail and extorsion.) the Denver taxpayer funding of the building of Invesco Field at Mile High - which profitted Bronco ownership and the franchise - not the taxpayer. Elway is also in the economic class that does not have to wait for money to trickle down - if it actually ever trickles down from the upper classes.
By the way, tax cuts for corporations have yet to produce significant job growth. It is much like the Laffer curve - theory but when placed into practice it fails to deliver promised results.
Also every dollar in debt added to the national debt is a tax hike - eventually.
McCain's economic policies will add over 4.5 trillion in debt over eight years - Obama 3.5 trillion.

I wouldn't go that far. What's wrong with him endorsing somebody that you wouldn't vote for? Almost half the country are going to vote for one guy and half will vote for the other. I'd hate to see half of us only eating at 'blue' restaurants (like Noodles and Company or Sonics) and shopping at 'blue' stores (like Costco) while the other half eat at 'red' restaurants (like Pizza Hut) and shopping at 'red' stores (like Walmart or Sam's Club). I think that kind of behavior stifles political discussion in this country and forces people of any prominence to keep their mouth shut.
While you obviously have the right to spend your money anywhere you want I'd rather save the boycott option for more significant disagreements. For example, would you boycott Nike since they pay extremely low wages overseas in order to make their shoes, only buying shoes like Ecco instead? We just have to pick our battles I think.

The McCain-Palin campaign also released a statement saying, "The McCain campaign is aware of the incident involving one of its volunteers. Out of respect, the campaign won't be commenting. The campaign also confirms that Senator McCain and Governor Palin have both spoken to the woman." "

Wardrobe Mysteries Linger
By Michael Luo and Eric Wilson
About that wardrobe …
There are still aspects of the Republican National Committee’s shopping sprees on behalf of Gov. Sarah Palin and her family that are murky.
Some of the fashion experts consulted Wednesday, for instance, about the $150,000 in purchases that appeared on Federal Election Commission records were puzzled by where all of that money had gone, given what they had seen of Ms. Palin’s wardrobe.
Consider also the $4,902.45 charge at Atelier New York, a high-end men’s store, presumably for Ms. Palin’s husband, Todd, the famous First Dude.
Karlo Steel, an owner there, said he had gone through the store’s receipts for September, twice, and found no sales that matched that amount, nor any combination of sales that added up to the total. Because the store carries aggressively directional men’s wear, he caters to a small clientèle and knows most of his customers by name, as well as the history of their purchases.
When The Caucus called Mr. Steel back to ask him to also check August sales just in case, Mr. Steel said he found one purchase that came close to the amount in the campaign finance reports but said that he knew who that customer was and it certainly was not Mr. Palin. Neither was it Jeff Larson, the Republican consultant who showed up in campaign finance records as the one who footed the initial bill before being reimbursed by the R.N.C.
The store carries expensive cut-up T-shirts and tricky suits from avant-garde designers, like Raf Simons, Yohji Yamamoto and Ann Demeulemeester, none of whom typically create beltway-appropriate attire.
“We have no recollection of that sale and no idea what they are talking about,” Mr. Steel said.
There was similar confusion when The Caucus spoke with Jon and Wing Witthuhn, owners of Pacifier, a high-end children’s boutique in Minneapolis, where records show two charges of $98, one at Pacifier’s downtown location and another at its store in the northeast part of the city.
Mr. Witthuhn clearly recalled one of the $98 charges because it was the night of Sept. 3, just hours before Ms. Palin’s speech at the Republican National Convention. A woman burst into his store, he recalled, saying she needed outfits for several children, including a 6-month-old boy. Mr. Witthuhn explained they did not carry clothes beyond toddler age but helped her pick out a blue-striped convertible romper by Egg Baby ($60), a matching monkey-ear hat ($32) and Trumpette baby socks ($6).
After the woman explained her shopping was related to the convention and paid with a credit card number she read off of a Blackberry, it dawned on Mr. Witthuhn that he was potentially helping to outfit one of the country’s most famous infants—Trig Palin, Ms. Palin’s youngest.

They ignore Obama's record, and choose to listen to his empty promises. Obama promises lower taxes in one breath, and promises nationalized healthcare in the next. The libs don't do the math, so they don't realize you can't have both.
They also don't accept that the "rich", and "big corporations" that they disdain also pay their wages. Yes, I work for a small company, but we sell our wares to larger companies. Without the rich, and big corporations, most of us wouldn't have jobs. The libs haven't figured that one out.
If Obama gets elected, the libs will see that he is full of campaign promises, and can't deliver. Socialism will shock them back to reality, when their smaller paychecks can't give them the lifestyle they think Obama will give them. And, the socialized healthcare won't make them happy, either.
And for those of you bashing Elway, and calling him stupid for supporting the candidate of your choice, I think your Hollywood idols are misguided for supporting Obama. Where does that leave us? More prominent Republicans bailed on McCain and endorsed Obama today. Here's the article:
"WASHINGTON - The list of famous-name Republicans lining up behind Barack Obama grew a little longer on Thursday.
A granddaughter of a conservative Republican icon, the late Arizona Sen. Barry Goldwater, CC Goldwater, announced that she would not be voting for her state’s senator, John McCain, on Nov. 4.
Goldwater says she and her sibling — and a few cousins — are casting their lot with Democrat Barack Obama in the 2008 U.S. presidential election. And Goldwater says it’s a no-brainer....
'Nothing about the Republican ticket offers the hope America needs to regain it’s standing in the world. That’s why we’re going to support Barack Obama,' she said.
Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan, who wrote a book critical of President George W. Bush and the Iraq war, told CNN that he is voting for Obama.
'From the very beginning, I have said I am going to support the candidate that has the best chance for changing the way Washington works and getting things done and I will be voting for Barack Obama and clapping,' the one-time Bush insider said in a taped interview airing on Saturday.
In Minnesota, former Republican Gov. Arne Carlson endorsed the Democratic senator from Illinois.
'I consider myself a Republican maverick,' Carlson said in explaining his endorsement.
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune said Carlson also criticized Republicans for waging 'a mean-spirited campaign' that has 'been going down all these side roads.'"

You mean empty promises like McCain's, where he pledges to have $300 billion in additional tax cuts, fix health care AND balance the budget within 4 years? How in the world will he be able to do that?? Why don't you peruse the story I linked to previously in this thread.
I can understand criticism of empty promises but I don't know of any candidate running that isn't making promises they can't keep. Do you know of any?
I'm not voting for Obama because of his ability to keep his pledges. I'm voting for him because I think he will absolutely do the job as well as he possibly can and will put the best possible advisers around him and given his dramatic improvement in debate ability from the beginning of the primaries to now, I think his potential is enormous. I think his time as the Harvard Law Review's editor demonstrate his true character (see the Frontline from last week for details). On the same token, I think Obama's brilliant campaign has demonstrated his own executive ability. I also think he could not have picked a better vice president for this point in our history (not so much for winning the election, but for after the election).
In addition, I don't want someone like Palin to be so close to being president and many prominent conservatives agree with me. We are facing many serious challenges right now and we need someone that has a brilliant mind and will be able to determine good advice from bad. I think most of McCain's campaign has demonstrated his inability to follow good advice or to put good people around him (such as criticism by his main adviser of his 2000 campaign on Meet the Press, stating that his pick of Palin was poor--he'd rather have an unhappy base with more votes than a happy base with fewer votes).
Now, if you want to convince me that I'm going to be 'shocked' by Obama's socialist policies, you are going to have to refer to history. I know quite a bit about economics and know exactly why we are where we are now and have a very good idea of how we are going to get out of it. A lot of it will depend on short-term socialist policies similar to how we dug ourselves out of the Great Depression. Even if you want to (rightly) thank World War II, do you recall exactly what the US government did? Succinctly, the government was run with large budget deficits and socialized many major US corporations for the war effort. By all accounts it worked well and after the war the corporations were independent once more. I don't know of any major policy resembling a market-based approach that dug the US out of the Great Depression.

Bob299 is correct. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Obama would be the better president this year (and despite what many of you may think, I'm very rarely convinced to this extent on who should be president).
Over the past several months I have made many thorough defenses of Obama and have yet to go on the attack against McCain in any significant way. However, if anyone of any intelligence wishes to try to defend McCain (for once) let me know--I could make a very long, devastating case against him and a much more devastating case against Sarah Palin (who should technically be ready to assume the presidency now, despite her answer to the 3rd grader; that IS her primary job after all).

I hope and pray the voters have the wisdom to NOT vote for a man with so little experience; if Barack Obama becomes President, we will be sitting ducks.
John McCain is infinitely more experienced and tough and brave than is Barack Obama.
