The fresh snow reflects off of a lake in Grand Mesa near Grand Junction, Colo. on Sunday, October 5, 2008.

Overnight rain will give way to a sunny 67 degrees today with winds gusting to 23 mph.

But a generally sunny, warm week will turn chilly by this weekend with a slight chance of rain or snowshowers Saturday night.

Tonight will be nippy, too, with lows dipping into the 30s and patchy frost possible in low-lying areas. The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory from Colorado Springs to Pueblo.

Western Colorado's high country got a dusting of snow overnight with 1.5 inches in Crested Butte.

In the metro Denver, it will continue sunny and warmer through the middle of the week, starting with a high near 70 Tuesday, climbing to the mid-70s by Thursday.

It will turn cool Friday with a predicted high in the mid-60s high and a slight chance of showers continuing through Sunday.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 56, and that slight chance of rain and snow showers overnight. It'll only warm to 62 Sunday with more cloudy skies expected.

It's too cold -on average-and too dry-on average in Colorado.
The coastal Southeast offers 'change of seasons'...the big chill is a month away, and even then the 'wet' cold will moderate within days, the best boating months include October.
It's fun to watch people rationalize about the weather.

Rationalize like you're doing? You couldn't pay me to move to Florida. It's too hot - on average- and too humid-on average. Just nasty.

Get a life sunshinestate!! Maybe you don't like Colorado weather, but why do you keep coming on here trying to talk up the weather in your humid cesspool (ie. Florida)?? Go play some shuffleboard with the Seinfelds over at Del Boca Vista, then go take a swim over in Tampon Bay buddy...

Florida stinks, but do us all a favor and keep rotting away there buddy...

A change of seasons? In Florida?! Maybe on the calendar, but that's about as far as it goes! I can only imagine that you're located just south of the Georgia border.

Aw, c'mon folks! Don't you like being hot and sweaty and sticky from the moment you step outside?

The best boating months are Oct. - March, when it's not so stinkin' hot. April - September, you have to jump in the water every 15 minutes, just to cool down.

Wouldn't you really rather be in Florida with sunshinestate, instead of here; where you only sweat when you exert yourself, and you don't feel sticky all the time? Feeling clean and fresh all day is so overrated!
