Don't be intimidated: Vote on Nov. 4

You've heard the rumors. Maybe someone you know has already gotten an official-looking notice that states:
"Your utility bill hasn't been paid, is late or is in collections. You're not eligible to vote."
Maybe you got a letter that says: "If you have an unpaid parking ticket, you may be arrested at the polls on Election Day."
Bill collectors, the notice implies, will be looking for you at the polls. If you are an American citizen and registered to vote, you can vote whether you've got unpaid bills or not.
Thousands of Coloradans are facing foreclosure on their houses because of the mortgage crisis. If you've been told that you can't vote because you're in foreclosure, don't believe it.
What if you're a Coloradan who can't read or write English very well? As long as you're a registered voter, you can vote. You can ask anyone to help you cast your vote, or get help from an election official at the polling place.
Colorado requires registered voters to provide a driver's license, or some other valid identification, such as a birth certificate, a current utility bill, or Medicare card before they can vote. Be sure to bring one of these forms of identification to the polls.
If you are a registered voter, and your name isn't on the voting register, you can cast a provisional ballot at the polling place. Just because your name is not on the roll, does not mean you cannot vote.

Also, don't just lie down and take this kind of attack. Anyone trying to disenfranchise an American voter is a traitor and should be treated as such.

This happened in Florida in 2000 and again in 2004 in Ohio. Don't let them steal it again.

Actually, only accept a provisional ballot as a last resort. About a third of them or more are usually tossed, and they're not even counted until after the election.
Ask a poll worker if there is another option.

Dirty tricks trying to prevent votes are almost exclusively a Republican endeavor, and are a much more real form of voter fraud than Acorn.

Here's a conservative Republican agreeing. Vote and don't be afraid to ask question is anyone interferes with you. The only justice in any election is when all legal voters are permitted to vote.
I also already voted McCain/Palin. Hoping to have a victory party tonight. Well half my family are Obama babies. We will have fun. Just finished making the butternut squash ravioli and the marinara sauce. Meatloaf in the oven and two cakes ready to frost. (One frosted blue, the other red)
Salsa and salads will do tomorrow. Son is smoking the turkey and the brisket and I'm going to have about five gallons of iced tea.
I want my African American grand daughter to remember this election. (She is in charge of the cookies and the fudge.) With my family, there is nothing going to be more fun.
No guns, no knives, no alcohol and no tape recorders.
