This is the definition of socialism, where the people own the means of production and the "resources".

Who cares that Michelle Obama is coming to town. Anyone who wastes their time to see a woman who says she's not proud of being American has really been sold a bill of goods. And this is going to be the next First Lady, to a President who won't even be upfront about his past? Boy, have people lost perspective.

At least Barack loves her. What was it that McCain called his wife? (I mean second wife, not the devoted crippled one he dumped) Something starting with "c" as I recall.
"So, does Obama."
He strikes me as pretty genuine actually. But it matters not, because I pick my presidents based on their presidential qualities, not whether or not I think they would be fun to have a beer with. Gosh, people used the beer-buddy technique to pick our last pres, and look what kind of massive loser that got us.

One additional reason to vote for Senator Obama (other than the obvious one in that he is the candidate with the best ideas) is his wife, Michelle.
When the Senator needed to visit his grandmother for a couple days, she was perfectly capable of filling in for him and did so superbly. Having a dynamic, intelligent, and charismatic wife will only help Senator Obama lead our nation.

GK and LuvAmerica, I have a question or people like you. What do you really think Obama is going to do for this country? How can Obama and those who support him really think going to the extreme left when the rest of the world is moving right is going to help us? Europe has proved that Socialism is NOT the right way to go. How for left do you want us to go? You know Obama is just a human being NOT God? If he goes extreme left like it sounds he will, he will be a one term only President, just like Carter. We will be looking for the next Reagan in 2012!!!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot that America automatically expected them both to be the stereotypical image that some have of an African American male and female. I am sure you would have liked them both better if they had come out on stage with a mic in their hands spitting off rap lyrics, pants sagging below the waist so Barack's hanes boxers showed, gold plated teeth and Michelle wearing tight fitted jeans or a mini skirt that made her look like a video girl right?
It is simply amazing that when we as Black folks are well educated, proper in speech and well groomed and kept, we are taken as being snotty! Grow up and stop watching BET or whatever garbage you are watching that gives you your opinions!

Michelle is soooo boring, with her strong principles, caring for her children, successful career, and love of her husband.
Give me a rich, adulterous, addict, ice-princess of an "other woman" like Cindy McCain any day. Too bad McCain wouldn't have anyone older in his cabinet, it would be interesting to see whose marriage Cindy would break up next. Well, at least Jackie Collins can get a nice storyline out of it.

INC: Ditto. I went to Europe on vacation back in late 2003. I definitely was not inclined to walk around as a proud American at the time as Bush humiliated all Americans on a weekly basis and it became ever more clear that there were no WMDs in Iraq and we had no idea how to occupy or run Iraq.
I went to many countries in Europe on that trip and, surprisingly, the friendliest treatment I received was in Paris (the worst was in London and Rome).

I just heard today that this was the worst financial quarter for the American auto industry since '92. Let's see, wasn't that the year that Clinton got elected? And didn't the auto industry substantially improve under his administration? They'd be doing much better now if they hadn't ignored the Clinton administration's advice to build high efficiency cars (they weren't mandated by Clinton, rather they had made a deal where the federal government would give them some seed money to develop hybrid cars but the American companies abandoned the project because large SUVs were more profitable at the time and they have a historic tendency of not having any long-term vision). If the federal government has to literally bail out the auto industry (which it will--GM sold %45 fewer cars this October than last October, Ford sold %30 fewer), there better be strings attached forcing them to make high efficiency cars this time around.

And lastly, how obvious is it that McCain's wife is at his side on the campaign, while Obama's wife is out doing her own thing. I know this observation plays right into the hands of the Liberal Support Group. Gee, that's so old fashioned and conservative. But, I thing we're looking at a First Lady for McCain versus a Vice President for Obama, ala Hilary Clinton. Can't wait to see her tackle that nationalized health care program. Ahhh, Dinty, aren't you the enlightened one? Cindy McCain is the dutiful wife, beaming at her husband, when she isn't barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. Such a First "Lady", who never speaks unless spoken to! She'll go very well with the other plants in the White House, but her pallor may clash with the curtains.
Or, she's a drug-addled Stepford wife, unable to put together a cogent thought on her own, with nothing to offer but beer money for her idea-less husband.
Here's an old fashioned retort for you....you're full name must be Dinty Moore, because you're full of beans!
