Barack Obama speaks to the crowd gathered in Pueblo.

— It's the last weekend before voting for president, and Colorado finds itself on center stage.

Barack Obama spoke at a rally in Pueblo this afternoon. When Obama arrived in Pueblo, his family was waiting for him on the tarmac, wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha. Obama kissed his wife and hugged his daughters.

Obama’s final campaign stop in Colorado took on a festival feel Saturday, with several thousand jubilant supporters dancing in the streets and acting like the election was over. Maybe that’s because for most of them it was.

Some 56 percent of Colorado’s active voters have already cast their ballots, according to the secretary of state’s office, which says almost 1.5 million people have already voted by mail or at early polling locations.

The prevalence of advance voting in Colorado made for a different atmosphere at Obama’s rally. It was clear at the final Obama Colorado rally that the campaign is aware most in the crowd had already voted. Several thousand supporters who packed downtown Pueblo streets were asked to turn their sights now to people who haven’t yet cast their ballots.

“We can’t afford to sit back or slow down. We’ve got to win Colorado,” said Obama, who planned to headline rallies Saturday in three states that chose President Bush four years ago — Nevada, Colorado and Missouri.

A majority had already voted in Nevada, too, where early voting concluded Thursday. As in Colorado, registered Democrats were more likely than Republicans to cast early ballots.

Volunteers scribbled down numbers of people who agreed to spend Election Day calling undecided voters or driving people to the polls.

Supporters danced to oldies music, chanted “O-bam-a!” and ate ice cream on an unseasonably warm afternoon. But they were urged not to rest after casting their votes.

“We’re counting on you to make phone calls and go out and see your neighbors,” said former Democratic presidential candidate and retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark.

Some voters who already turned in their ballots said they weren’t likely to work for Obama during the next three days. But they said they felt compelled to attend because of Obama’s star power. They conceded that Colorado is unlikely to receive as much attention from the president after the election is over.

Colorado’s battleground status has attracted several visits from Obama and John McCain.

“We would regret it the rest of our lives if we didn’t come,” said Anna Garcia, 55, a steel distributor who drove from Denver to see Obama’s speech.

Michelle Obama, who attended the rally and introduced her husband, planned to return to Colorado for a rally in the Denver suburb of Littleton on Monday afternoon. She told the crowd that the Colorado race is not yet won, though early voting numbers indicate registered Democrats are voting more heavily than Republicans.

“You have gotten us 85 percent of the way there, but the other 15 percent, it’s on us,” Michelle Obama said.

McCain had not announced plans to return to Colorado before Election Day, though his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, will headline a rally in Colorado Springs Monday with singer Hank Williams Jr.

Earlier in the day in Henderson, Nev., Obama said voters can end divisive politics “once and for all” if they elect him to the White House in three days.

Hunting for votes one last time in Nevada, Obama told an estimated 15,000 people that their will is more powerful than “the politics of anything goes.”

The Illinois senator spoke on a breezy day in Henderson, about 15 miles southeast of Las Vegas.

Sunday, former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle will join with U.S. Senator Ken Salazar and former Colorado Gov. Roy Romer on a "Get Out the Vote" RV Tour through Larimer and Boulder counties. Daschle, Salazar, and Romer will visit with volunteers and participate in canvass kick-offs at Campaign for Change offices.

    1. Bill Ayers Weather Underground terrorist..Obama began his political career in Ayers living room.
    2. Frank Marshall Davis..(Obama's personal mentor from age 10 until eighteen when Obama left for college) Davis was a key member of a Soviet controlled network sponsered by AMoscow and operated in Hawaii.
    3. Jeremiah Wright..Obama's pastor for over 20 years. Black liberation theologian. (a marxist movement)
    4. Bernadine Dohrn...former leader of the Communist organization Weather Underground. See Bill Ayers.
    5. Koji Ariyoshi...A Communist double agent arrested in Hawaii under charges of attempting to overthrow the American government under the Smith Act. He is also linked to Obama.
    6. Mike Klonsky whose father wan an American communist convicted in the mid-fifties for plotting the forcible overthrow of the United States government...Mike Klonsky is an unabashed communist whose currant mission is to spread communist ideolgy. Obama funded Klonsky to the tune of nearly two million dollars! Obama, moreover, gave Klonsky a broad platform to broadcast his ideas: a social justice blog on the official Obama campaign website!! Check it out!! Klonsky in partnership with Bill Ayers whcih Obama mightly helped underwrite, formed a Maoist organization, first known as the October League, which is also known as the communist party.
    7. Sam Graham-Felson, hired to run Obama's blog, writes in Marxist publications that openly call for revolution against the American people and government!!!
    8. Rev. Michael Pleger, Alice Palmer, Quentin Young...the list goes on and one but space here is limited. Obama has spent decades and millions aiding and abetting people who hate America.

Check it out and vote for ANYBODY but Obama!!! DON'T BE FOOLED!!

I am not pro McCain either, but at least I know what I am getting, our government that is with checks and balances. McCain doesn't make these huge undeliverable promises because it is going to take a well balanced government, the people, who are suppose to have a voice will need to stand up and demand the change we want, we will have to change our system by fighting for what we believe. I won't lie, I do not like the unknown, I struggle with trust, especially a politician. McCain is not going to tear down the very government our forefathers built, nor is he going to shred what is left of our constitution because that is not the change we need.

Hardcore republicans are a funny lot, aren't they? Instead of being mad at their own party for essentially destroying our country, and working to rebuild the republican brand and return it to the sanity that it once represented before it was hijacked by the right-wing evangelical hypocrites, they find it more reassuring to just lob schoolyard insults at the man who it seems will finally derail the runaway republican nightmare we've all endured for the last eight years.

Bush and his cronies were handed the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives, and for six years, did very little beside lead this country down, down, down. They mishandled the 9/11 aftermath, utterly botched the Katrina response, turned a massive budget surplus into a mind-numbingly large deficit, started an unjust war that has cost tens of thousands of lives, hundreds of billions of dollars, and has no end in sight, done absolutely nothing on any domestic agenda like healthcare or education, and even after the democrats won a slim, tiny majority in both houses in 2006, the republicans still managed to contravene or circumvent any meaningful policy change or implementation by filibustering or outright veto at the hand of George.

Why on earth are you continuing to support these buffoons? They can win (or manipulate) elections better than anyone, sure, and certainly NOBODY runs a more effective fear and smear campaign, but what the last eight years have shown me is THEY CAN'T GOVERN. They just cannot govern worth a pickled sh!t, and yet 23-25% of the people apparently still support Bush and his band of crooked morons. It truly boggles the mind.

"Bush isn't running," some will say. But if McCain voted with Bush over 90% of the time, and stood by him time and time again (and I believe that statistic is true), then he's not that different. And Palin... whew, she's so fringe, she's just scary.

So yeah, it's looking more and more like the old republican standards of using fear and doubt and outright lies to win elections isn't going to work this time. Sorry guys. I am not a blind Obama sheep, and I would have preferred to see him run later in his career instead of now, but he's the nominee, and I absolutely believe he will be good for the country and hopefully undo some of the damage Bush has caused.

Obama’s past votes, actions and associations do nothing to reassure me that he is nothing more than a liar, a socialist, and a weak apologist. Rather than fight for freedom, Obama would rather ask “why can’t we all get along?” and negotiate with terrorists, without condition.

Also, Obama was the most liberal voting member of the U.S. Senate, even left of Vermont Socialist, Bernie Sanders. For those frugal Americans that are against higher taxes, for strong defense and smaller government, Obama calls us selfish and Joe Biden calls us unpatriotic. Even though, Republicans out-number Democrats 2 to 1 for those Americans that have graduated from college, served honorably in the U.S. military and work 50+ hours per week.

Selfish? Unpatriotic? I would argue that these words describe those Obama voters that dropped out of school, didn’t serve your country and want handouts from a democratic-socialist government.

We're still here, Karl, but we're all tired of trying to confuse you Bush haters with the facts. Here's my stock Bush defense, if you are really interested, but I think you just want to rant.

Liberals must think the whole country hates Bush, just like they do. But, less than 4 years ago more than 64 million Americans voted to re-elect Bush. So, we could logically assume that these voters did not believe Bush was a “disaster” at that point in time, even after 9/11 and the Iraq War. Now, if you accept the current poll numbers, about 30% of Americans still “approve” of the job Bush is doing. Does that mean the remaining 70% agree with the Liberal premise? Well, I am in that 70% portion, but not for the same reasons as the Liberal hate mongers. I disapprove of Bush because he let his Conservative base down. He allowed a congress, controlled by Republicans, to spend without constraint. He appeased Democrats with education and new entitlement bills. He sponsored amnesty for illegal immigrants and he did not aggressively prosecute the war in Iraq. So, you have to logically assume that there is at least some component within the 70% disapproval factor who are like-minded Conservatives. Are we disappointed in Bush? Yes. Would we ever vote for Obama, a Socialist, instead of McCain. No. Now all you Liberals have to do is worry about whether that component is more than 20 %.

That allowed the likes of Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Charles Rangel, and Bob Byrd to assume committee “leadership”, along with similar ilk. Since then, we’ve seen consumer confidence go down, home equities go down, fuel prices go up. unemployment go up, inflation go up, home foreclosures go up, bankruptcies go up, and the stock market go down. But, they did hand out “free money” that they had to borrow. Obama is attracting his followers based upon a mantra of “Change”. Just how much more “change” do you think this country can stand?

But the young phone-bankers have also received coverage from Ramattan, the Palestinian news agency, in what reads like a Hamas-generated anti-Israel press release.

Can anyone seriously believe that young Palestinian men are allowed free and easy access to operate an internet phone bank in the impoverished and violent Gaza Strip — and bring that effort to the attention of the international media — without Hamas’ knowledge and approval? The support that Barack Obama is receiving from avowed terrorist enemies of America should bother him. The fact that it does not bother him should bother us even more than the fact that terrorists see something in him that they really like.

No. Anything similar aimed at Obama is met with cries of “hateful racist” or “bigot”. Well, that’s just not “fair”, and “fairness” has become a watchword for the Obama cult. For instance, I notice that Obama is campaigning in Ohio today. Gee, given his Kenyan ethnicity and slender build, I assumed he have been in New York City running the marathon. Though, come to think of it, he may still be a smoker. That’s only one of the many personal things we don’t know about him, and it’s just not politically correct to bring it up. I guess we’ll find out a lot more after he’s President?

And your alternative? Why, lets just take some of that "trickle" away from those "rich" folks and those evil corporations and "spread the wealth". How long do you think that can work for you? I was hoping for an intelligent and thoughtful answer to my questions. In any case, Kennedy’s investment in the space race and Reagan’s investment in the defense industry were both ways to create high-paying jobs that also created new technologies to be built and taken over by the private sector (we can argue about regulation and oversight, I think it is needed).

Currently, Obama, like Carter now seeks to punish creativity, initiative and investment to support social spending. He speaks of an energy economy; however, his policies take a regressive approach to taxation. As long as there are no incentives for businesses to create, invest and grow, we’ll continue our slide.

As for you people that hate George W. Bush, the Bush administration inherited the dot-com bust, 9/11 and now the mortgage bust. The Bush tax refunds did somewhat help; however, those tax cuts could have been better placed.

With a little vision, I think the administration would have been better off to cut taxes in the areas of capital gains and other regressive taxes placed on businesses; as opposed to personal tax breaks and refund checks to the middle and lower class. Although, lowering capital gains and using other tax incentives would have never passed through the Democrat-controlled House and Senate.

    http://www.bis.org/publ/qtrpdf/r_qa08...

To grasp just how large a number this is, consider that the value of all goods and services produced in the USA equals about $14 trillion annually, according to World Bank data.

Likewise, when a business can operate in a place like Ireland, India, China or South Korea at substantially higher profit margins, I would say that taxation has chased that business off-shore.

Like you, I create and am happy to pay my dues; however, if those "dues" are assessed and used in a conservative manner, the U.S. could thrive by letting the private sector create a much larger tax base.

A confession posted on FARK.com from an Obama staffer. I had to remove some of it so it would fit. Check it out:

The internal campaign idea is to twist, distort, humiliate and finally dispirit you.We pay people and organize people to go to all the online sites and “play the part of a clinton or mccain supporter who just switched our support for obama.” We do this to stifle your motivation and to destroy your confidence. We did this the whole primary and it worked.

Sprinkle in mass vote confusion and it becomes bewildering. Most people lose patience and just give up on their support of a candidate and decide to just block out tv, news, websites, etc. This surprisingly has had a huge suppressing movement and vote turnout issues.

Next, we infiltrate all the blogs and all the youtube videos and overwhelm the voting, the comments, etc. All to continue this appearance of overwhelming world support. People makes posts to the effect that the world has “gone mad”Thats the intention. To make you feel stressed and crazy and feel like the world is ending. We have also had quite a hand in skewing many many polls, some we couldn’t control as much as we would have liked. But many we have spoiled over. Just enough to make real clear politics look scarey to a mccain supporter. Its worked, alough the goal was to appear 13-15 points ahead.see, the results have been working. People tend to support a winner, go with the flow, become “sheeple”The polls are roughly 3-5 points in favor of Barack. Thats due to our inflation of the polls and pulling in the sheeple.

Our donors, are the same people who finance the MSM. Their interests are tied, Barack then tends to come across as teflon. Nothing sticks. And trust, there were meetings with Fox news. The goal was to blunt them as much as possible. Watch Bill Oreilly he has become much more diplomatic and “fair and balanced” and soft. Its because he wants to retain the #1 spot on cable news and to do that he has to have access to the Obama campaign and we worked hard at stringing him a long and keeping him soft for an interview swap. It worked and now he is anticipating more access. So he is playing it still soft. This is why nothing sticks. The operation is massive, the goal is to paint a picture that is that of a winner, regardless of the results. There is no true inauguration draft or true grant park construction going on. There will be a party, but we are boasting beyond the truth to make it seem like the election is wrapped up.
