She's finally coming. After never playing Denver in her entire career, Madonna graces us with a Nov. 11 show at Pepsi Center, finally going on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday (although fan club members and Citi Card holders have been buying presale tickets for days now).
Stadiums in Europe have been selling out in seconds, so good luck; other markets have added dates and there's room in the schedule for that to happen here as well. Tickets are priced at $59, $99, $169 and $354 (Ticketmaster).
Other shows going on sale:
* RED ROCKS - James Taylor's first show is sold out, so he's added a second on Aug. 7. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $45, $65 and $85. Also, Three Doors Down plays the Rocks on Sept. 3 with Hinder, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $39.50 to $75 (Ticketmaster).
* BROOMFIELD EVENTS CENTER - The Music Builds Tour with Third Day, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Switchfoot and Jars of Clay perform on Oct. 12 in a benefit for Habitat for Humanity. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today, $30, $45, $65 and $125 (Ticketmaster).
* OGDEN THEATRE - Puddle of Mudd headlines Aug. 2, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $25 (Ticketmaster).
RUMORS AND HEARSAY: More confirmation behind the scenes that an Oct. 13 Bruce Springsteen date is possibly happening after the Boss' people ruled out a Denver date earlier this year. Fingers crossed . . . More Tina Turner dates released, none of them coming anywhere near Denver . . . After a final Crush game in June the Pepsi Center goes dark until after the Democratic National Convention.
