Jeff Peckman

A video that purportedly shows a living, breathing space alien will be shown to the news media Friday in Denver.

Jeff Peckman, who is pushing a ballot initiative to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver to prepare the city for close encounters of the alien kind, said the video is authentic and convinced him that aliens exist.

"As impressive as it is, it's still one tiny portion in the context of a vast amount of peripheral evidence," he said Wednesday. "It's really the final visual confirmation of what you already know to be true having seen all the other evidence."

When Peckman went before city officials this month to discuss his proposed ET initiative, he promised to show the video.

Peckman said the general public will have to wait to see it because it's being included in a documentary by Stan Romanek.

"No one will be allowed to film the segment with the extraterrestrial because there is an agreement in place limiting that kind of exposure during negotiations for the documentary," he said.

But people won't have to wait too long to see it for themselves.

"There is an open, public meeting in about a month in Colorado Springs," Peckman said. "We'll hope to do one in Denver at some point, and then in a few months, there will be the documentary that anybody can have, and it'll have the footage."

An instructor at the Colorado Film School in Denver scrutinized the video "very carefully" and determined it was authentic, Peckman said.

Peckman, 54, said the video was among the reasons he was "compelled" to launch the proposed ballot initiative, which has generated news as far as South Africa.

"It shows an extraterrestrial's head popping up outside of a window at night, looking in the window, that's visible through an infrared camera," he said. The alien is about 4 feet tall and can be seen blinking, Peckman said earlier this month.

In a statement, Peckman said "other related credible evidence" proving aliens exist will be shown at Friday's news conference, too.

In 2003, Peckman authored an off-beat ballot initiative that would have required the city to implement stress-reduction techniques. The "Safety Through Peace" initiative failed, but garnered 32 percent of the vote.

He then quickly pops back down. It is either a genuine alien, or a guy in a costume, but it is hardly conclusive as proof that aliens exist. Doesn't anyone remember this footage being shown on TV? Hellooo? When he pops his head up, you can only see the eyes and part of the face, not the whole head, then he quickly goes back down again. Travis Roste, Hutchinson, MN

Oh my God. This is so exciting. Everyone who has studied the universe agrees there has to be life somewhere. I know our planet is just a speck in a speck of a galaxy, but stranger things have happened. And if there is life out there they might have the technology to detect "life" on other planets. I have to say I'm not hoping for much, but I'm stoked about seeing the video and having it examinded further; and hearing the other evidence. If we do have visitors I have to say I'm embarassed we are still at a fairly primitive level re: some of the comments above and that we are still fighting each other like animals in the jungle except more visciously. And we've messed up the planet. On the other hand, advanced technology doesn't necessarily imply anything beyond intelligence. I'm praying for compassion, wisdom, and grace. All the things we need.

Ok, I'm going to put this as simple as possible. ANYONE who mocks those who have had experiences is simply arrogant. That would be like me saying, no, your family didn't experience a 'miracle', it was just a coincidence that your mom doesn't have cancer anymore... NO-ONE has the right to judge ANYONE! Sarcasim IS the refuge of the fearful...
I for one, have worked with the Colorado Bureau of Investigations, Denver District Attorney's Office, Denver District Court, and have been a probation officer. So I think...its safe to say I have SOME credibility and I can ASSURE you, w/o a shadow of a doubt, we are not alone. To think we are is a delusional concept that not only mocks the millions who've experienced things that our science can not explain, but also to those who haven't, and believe 'God' (or some version of God) didn't only created us. COME ON!
And so we come to this...well ok, maybe there are other civilizations out there, but they are too far away. Oh really? Why, b/c OUR primitive science says so??? Lets remember, on the evolutionary scale, we are NEW BORNS!!! Is it not at all possible to think that a species far more advanced has found a way?
So to close this out, let me say that I for one more than support this agenda; I welcome it with not only open arms, but an open mind. And it is true... Your mind works like a parachute, functioning best when OPEN...

Let me also thank Suezeekay for your kind comments. You are 100% correct in your statement regarding the intelligence of those who have posted here thus far and their comments. It is so sad that our ADULT civilization still acts like a bunch of 3rd graders, and that our own children know better!!! There is NO excuse for arrogance as ignorance does not justify your degrading and fearful comments. You should be ashamed of yourselves! I happen to know Mr. Peckman and will inform you that to the best of my knowledge, he is living with his elderly parents out of COMPASSION-something CLEARLY lacking in this board!
Suezeekay, I want to also state that I fully agree with your statement, 'I'm praying for compassion, wisdom, and grace. All the things we need.' I have to admit that my own experiences have only been positive and that I truly believe the following...
First, that just as there are good humans, there are bad humans. There are all kinds of ethnicities that we can think of in this world in addition. Now, if we take this to a more universal scale, I think its safe to say that there are probably hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of different kinds of aliens in this universe! So yes, while the possibility remains that there are negative entities, there also lies the possibility that there are positive entities. Its the yin and the yang, the black and the white, the good and the evil. And somewhere, there is a balance. And those who only want to be negative and close minded will never see the light-so to speak. Because as the saying goes, 'You can not see it to believe it, rather, you must believe it in order to see it'.
    Blessings...

It's only a matter of time and also the relaxation of 'no contact' rules that alien life forms have had in place for some time. Kind of like the 'Prime Directive' from the old Star Trek series.

There really isn't anything too amazing about all of this. Extraterrestial beings have been on Earth for a long, long time, they have bases deep undersea which has easily concealed their presence upon our planet. They have been observing us for millenia and waiting for the right time to come forward although there have been verified sightings for quite a while now.

D-Day on this entire issue will be December 12th, 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar. The Mayans knew a heck of a lot more about these visitors than any other culture. I look forward to the day when they DO come out of hiding, it will change our world culture for the better and with the new technology which will be available we, as a planet, will be able to solve our problems of energy PLUS we will, at last, be able to see ourselves for what we truly are - a unified, world-wide race of Earthlings.

We've simply been a species to be observed by these visitors for thousands of years. We're millenia behind these 'people' in technology and probably ALL areas of science and philosophy. The good news is that apparently our alien observers are peaceful and patient, otherwise they could have wiped us all out quite some time ago.

Personally I cannot wait for the final encounter. Mostly I want to read about their technology as it pertains to gravity and how it can be manipulated. This is really gonna be GREAT!!!!!

Thank you caiobabe... As you have just proven my point, once again, that 'Sarcasm is the refuge of the fearful'.
If you are not from here, then perhaps you should be more concerned with what is going on with where you are from. After all, isn't this a national problem? We're so worried with what is going on elsewhere that we police the world instead of taking care of our own! Again, perhaps you should be more concerned with your own affairs.
In addition, I am STILL in law enforcement and no...here, in CO, we do not arrest people just for their opinions... And yes, if he or you, for that matter were causing a disturbance, there may be just cause for taking one in, but I must say, at this point...you take the cake for someone being brought in with your assaulting comments more so than some one who is secure with themselves.
Also, no one has 'concocted' any events to fit 'our history'... It is OUR history as humanity, and if you weren't so concerned about being insecure with our own (at least my own) research and knowledge, perhaps you could take the time to educate yourself before making such a statement... Pick up a bible and look for yourself! Also, be sure to look into Mayan history as there too is proof.
And lastly caiobabe, I'd like to respond to this: 'I'm not at all doubting that aliens exist and not doubting that the film is real.' Sadly, there are people like yourself who make a statement like this and then make the statement that they doubt another person's own security in themselves and history. This is usually due to that person's own insecurity in what they believe or just in themselves. I am only sharing my beliefs caiobabe, I'm not telling you that you have to believe them...but...perhaps my beliefs bother you so because you know, in your soul, that they could be real. And if you continue with your banter, you would only be proving my point. So how about a truce? You continue believing what you want where you're from, and those of us in CO will go on with our own beliefs...
Sounds like a positive resolution to me! Blessing to you caiobabe, may you find your way and may it be a positive one! :)

Thats what makes this world what it is today, its OK for all kinds of people-even SMART ones-to believe what I believe... For my theories are shared by nuclear physicists, engineers, psychiatrists, law enforcement officers, and several other demographics.
Just think of your last statement caiobabe, :I know some really smart people out there and they most likely would believe this alien story if not for your "theories". My 'theories' should do nothing to keep anyone from believing as they are just that, 'theories'. If someone's beliefs are that unstable that by my sharing of my own 'theories' would shatter the possibility of someone believing in et's, then that person simply has much more to educate themselves on. I apologize if I came off as defensive caiobabe as I am not a defensive or confrontational person...I deal with that enough day to day with my defendants. With that said, while I appreciate your concern for my job, I have nothing to fear regarding my opinions as they are largely shared among the Law Enforcement community. In addition, the beautiful thing about the 'world' I am in, is that it is shared by other intelligent individuals; its wonderful actually.
And perhaps-this is just me-but if I were you, I'd be more concerned with leaving such statements as, 'Well, I have to get 'busy' in a few so I'll take you to bed with me for the cigarette we'll have after for a laugh or two.' then what my peers think of me. But thank you for your concern regarding my opinions. If I were afraid to share them, I wouldn't. :)
Good night caiobabe, thanks for informing us of your location as it makes sense now, LOL! As always, those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind, remember that. Blessings! :)

With that said, I wish everyone a good night! I don't find it helpful to waste my positive energy on anyone or anything not deserving of it. My 'theories', 'beliefs', 'opinions' are just that-mine... While I know that they are shared among many other intelligent individuals, I do not need to convince anyone of that...the evidence of this is all around us if anyone would just attempt to educate themselves on this topic.
Thats the problem here...not many people here are educated and they are fearful of the unknown-so they make themselves feel better by attacking the millions of people who have had experiences. Its a primitive way to handle the stress of what they don't know. Its just sad that this day in age people still think the way we did years and years ago... The Earth proved not to be flat, the Earth proved not to be the center of the universe...think perhaps we could be wrong about extraterrestrial life? Imagine how people who 'knew' the Earth was the center of the universe felt when they found out they were wrong? The truth was there all along, but our science at the time just couldn't explain it... Perhaps we're not alone... Perhaps our science will continue to evolve and we will someday discover we are not alone... I don't know about you, but I'd feel worse being in our shoes today denying the existence of life beyond our own over the Earth being not being flat... Again, thats just my opinion... Take it for what you want, but theres no need to act like 3rd graders here...we're adults. We should express compassion and kindness not cruelty and sarcasm.

The word "skeptic" has been terribly misrepresented and abused in recent years. The word literally describes a person who habitually and thoughtfully questions widely accepted beliefs. People who call themselves "skeptics" tend to do this quite rarely -- in fact, most spend all of their time DEFENDING widely accepted beliefs (as long as such beliefs are endorsed by scientific or governmental officialdom), while attacking those who genuinely seek out alternative perspectives.

@Kendraknows, I have glanced down the comments and cannot see a lot of rational people here, just a lot of closed minds. I only registered to set the record straight on what true science and real intelligence amounts to when it comes to the question of extraterrestrial life and only because it disgusts me to see the lowest common denominator, which is what seems to congregate on this site, piling onto the only intelligent commenter they have on the whole board. Reminds me of a pack of scabrous hyenas, pulling down a great Lion or Elephant. The difference between the closed mind which imagines out of its ignorance that the universe is more or less mostly understood by science now, and the one which at least knows enough to know how far from understanding very much outside of a limited set of observations over a very short recent history, we actually are. Not very long ago, it was not only considered insane to suggest the Earth revolved around the Sun but a crime as well. The same went for a flat Earth. I hope these "pseudo-skeptics" (see above def'n)realise that they would have been firmly in the camp which desired to see Gallileo executed for his insane and devilish ideas.

One in five American adults, according to the National Science Foundation, thinks the sun revolves around the Earth. I don't think it takes much of a leap of faith to realise that this group is firmly in the self described 'skeptics' camp.

To the self described 'skeptics', who would be better termed closed minds.

Your rationalizations & those of everyone whose guiding principle is it can't be, therefore it isn't, are not unreasonable on their own. But that distorts the integrity of the evidence which is never on its own but in concert with other accounts & science. It allows you to ignore patterns of events & whatever they may imply. Multiple witnesses the timings & effects of what they saw. Scientific evidence and the people who explain their conclusions so as to allow you to make a rational decision. Until you examine the evidence and the conclusions you cannot draw any of your own. Any conclusions achieved by your methods suffer from a complete lack of integrity since they lack a balanced effort to ascertain the full pattern and connection of all the evidence. In short you have not really got an opinion. Beyond that which says anything the authorities tell me is true, therefore I don't need to know anything else.

Oh and whinging about any post which requires you to read more than two or three trite lines, is particularly foolish, for it is just saying, I am too stupid, or lazy or don't care enough, to read anything longer than a couple of lines. So when you've read the same scoffing two lines in fifty different versions, do you think that was more worthwhile than reading a longer but rational and intelligent response? I bet you do too.

The Aliens lands near Washington DC - the little gray green eyed being speaks perfectly and asks the first person he sees to take him/her to our leader.
They take the alien to meet Pres. Bush, the meeting is over in only a few minutes. The alien then returns to his space ship and says to his leader:
"No worries, there is no life on intelligent life on this little planet, go ahead and destroy it."

Wait, I guess I'd need to go buy the movie camera first. It's the first thing my wife and I decided to buy when we decided to buy a movie camera, an expensive infrared camera just in case ET ever decided to pop in. That's normal isn't it?

what frustrates me the most about the nut job alien defenders is the arrogance with which they lambast those who disagree with them, and then condemn them for being uneducated. they quote science as the answer to everything, and then compare dissenters with those in history who believed that the earth was flat...excuse me, but those who thought the earth was flat were THE EDUCATED ones. history is replete with examples of the ignorance of THE EDUCATED (all mammals are live-born, global cooling/warming, evolution) and the wisdom of those without any formal education. you know someone is losing an argument when they pull out the "GPA Card" in an attempt to impress his/her audience with his/her level of intelligence. what many fail to realize is that wisdom is of far more value than intelligence, and you can't gain/teach wisdom at any university. wisdom threatens science and THE EDUCATED, and that is why so many wise people have been persecuted throughout history by THE EDUCATED elite.
lastly, the final straw is the desperate attempt at relevancy by attaching the belief in aliens to the Bible, THE source for TRUTH. to say that the Bible speaks of or is proof for the existence of aliens shows your lack of knowledge and understanding of God's Word. i would invite you to read it for yourself so that you can experience God's Grace for yourself.
in closing, please do Christians the world over a favor, and stop blaspheming the Word of God with wild stories of aliens in the Bible. we do a good enough job of shaming the Lord's message without your help.

Talk about a hypocrite...so its ok for you to say: 'The idea of aliens in the Bible is outlandish foolishness, but talking snakes, splitting oceans, water to wine, reptilian staffs, walking on water, resurrection, "miraculous" happenings of all sorts--all of that is perfectly reasonable.' But not for someone to believe that aliens have been here since before Christ?
Perhaps I've misunderstood, and I apologize if thats the case; however, I just don't thinks its right that you say its ok for you to believe something but not ok for others to believe what they want to believe. How do you know what really happened, where you there? I think thats part of the reason why some people DON'T want to believe in any of this, b/c it would shake your religious beliefs to the core-even though the Vatican has said not to fear our alien brethren. Can't argue that, can ya? I have to admit though, it sure would be nice for the arguing to stop and for people to just come together already...

I think in the digital age, our eyes as a reliable source of evidence is reduced. However, as a so-called Christian, I believe in the existence of angels and therefore demons. Both of which we could classify as aliens.

I'm interested in the footage, and more interested in the work of the Disclosure Project to declassify what we already have. Other nations friendly to our outlook on things have recently and continually disclassified their materials on these UFOs.

With the current environmental situation on this planet, we need to exploit as much of any technology we may retain that can help us solve our energy problem. Maybe we can use their technology to consolidate our North Pole of which the melting is speeding. Who knows what the possibilities are. What we do know is that government isn't as efficient as the market.

I suppose this optimism is what got the ancient astronomers locked up, when they were right all along about the round earth. So I won't be a cynical, agnostic butthead with a mountain of contrary points. ;)
