ProLogis will build a 1.2 million-square-foot industrial park two miles north of Interstate 70 on Havana Street, the company announced today.
Denver-based ProLogis expects to begin construction later this year on the 76-acre, five-building Stapleton Business Center North at the intersection of 56th Avenue and Havana Street.
The park will be built according to guidelines established by the United States Green Building Council for LEED Certification, the national standard for environmentally responsible construction.
ProLogis, the world’s largest owner and developer of distribution centers, has 3.7 million square feet within a mile of the new development, including the 2.7 million-square-foot Stapleton Business Center, which is bordered by I-70, 51st Avenue and Havana Street.
“We are excited by the opportunity to expand our presence in Denver,” said Wayne Barrett, vice president and Denver market officer. “Stapleton Business Center North is essentially an extension to our already successful distribution parks nearby.”
