An 84-year-old Parker woman has died after being found facedown in a pond despite rescue efforts by a construction workers, authorities said today.
Bridget Attard, a Parker resident, died at Parker Adventist Hospital at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Pat Dunn, Douglas County's chief deputy coroner, said today.
The cause of death was under investigation, she said. It was unclear if an autopsy will be conducted.
"There's nothing suspicious. No evidence of foul play," Dunn said.
Four construction workers leaped into the pond about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday when they noticed the elderly woman had fallen in while strolling to the shoreline. The pond is part of the water-treatment plant for the Parker Water and Sanitation District on Motsenbocker Road.
