Incoming!
Reality shows launching new seasons soon:
* So You Think You Can Dance, Season 4 7 p.m. Thursday on Fox31. For those of you who want to witness some hoofing that's a bit better than the Penn Jillette/Adam Carolla variety.
* Million Dollar Password 7 p.m. June 1 on CBS4. CBS calls it a cross between Password and Pyramid. We call it host Regis Philbin's attempt to get away from Kelly Ripa for an hour every week.
* The Mole 8 p.m. June 2 on Denver's 7. It's been six years since non-celebrities tried to guess who was sabotaging their efforts to win the grand prize. Does anyone remember the rules?
Not so strong after all
4.9 million viewers tuned in to the second season of American Gladiators last week. The plummet from last season's opening numbers (more than 12 million viewers) fueled TV pundits' charges that the show was a writers-strike success story, cashing in when the networks had nothing better to show.
The race is on
CBS announced this week that The Amazing Race will return to its Sunday-night time slot with its 13th season in the fall. Meanwhile, the Oregonian in Portland confirmed that the race taped its finish there. Other Race fanatics have been tracing the show's progress around the globe. Some of the destinations they'll reportedly be tripping through:
* Los Angeles
* Chicago
* Sao Paulo, Brazil
* La Paz, Bolivia
* Santiago, Chile
* Delhi, India
* Bangkok, Thailand
* Dubai, United Arab Emirates
