Which of these is the top action hero of all time?
Who is the best action movie villain?
The opening of Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull on Thursday reminds us that the whip-cracking, fedora-topped character is the greatest action hero in film history.
But that got us wondering: Who else deserves a place in the pantheon of cinematic adventurers? So just for fun - and just to start some arguments - we've created today's ranked roster of 25 pulse-racing faves.
We realize that there are other kinds of film heroes: religious, political and humorous, and broadly drawn comic strip heroes from Superman to Ironman. But they all belong in separate categories.
