Hank Brown, the former U.S. senator who stepped down as University of Colorado president in March, has joined the law firm of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck.
Brown, credited with turning CU around at a tumultuous time, will start in June and focus on areas including banking, water, natural resources and public affairs.
“Joining Brownstein represents my career coming full circle,” Brown said in a statement released today. “Norm Brownstein, Steve Farber and I have been friends since our days at the University of Colorado more than 40 years ago. While our paths have crossed throughout the years, we have had limited opportunities to work together.”
Brown will stay involved at CU, coordinating leadership programs and teaching in the political science department as the Quigg and Virginia S. Newton Endowed Chair, the release said.

Good luck. And thanks for getting CU pointed into the right direction.
