The Avalanche on Tuesday announced it has signed forward T.J. Galiardi, 20, to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Giliardi, a second-round pick (55th overall) in the 2007 NHL entry draft, had 18 goals and 52 assists in 72 games for the Calgary Hitmen in the Western Hockey League. He led all WHL playoff scorers with 24 points (five goals, 19 assists) in 16 games.
Galiardi will attend the Avalanche’s development camp this summer.
