Holy Hogwarts! A Lakewood man has put first-edition copies of the first five Harry Potter books, autographed by author J.K. Rowling, including certificates of authenticity, up for bid on craigslist.

Thomas Millard, a technical school teacher in Jefferson County, bought the wildly popular books for his wife, Bonnie, but the couple has decided to turn the collection into cash.

"My father purchased them over eBay when each book would get released," said the Millards' son, William, who's supervising the sale. The senior Millard invested $3,100 in the first five of the seven-book fantasy series about wizardry and witchcraft. He hopes the hard-to-find literary works will fetch $4,000 (or best offer). William says he's seen all seven signed Potter books sell on eBay for $36,000. "We don't want to set (the price) too high because we'll never get any bidders."

William says Bonnie is OK with letting them go. "She owns all seven books, unsigned," he said.

To bid, reply to: sale-674017507@craigslist.org, or call 303-953-2612.

MADE BY MOM: Nuggets standout Carmelo Anthony has been all over the news lately, but not for good reasons. On Sunday, viewers will get to see the warm and fuzzy side of the star on Who Made You? a CBS Sports Spectacular featuring famous athletes and their moms at 1 p.m. on CBS4 News.

Other athletes who will talk about how their mothers helped them become who they are include Michael Jordan, Oscar De La Hoya, Shaquille O'Neal, Lindsay Davenport, Kobe Bryant and Phil Mickelson.

MARTINI SHAKEN, NOT STIRRED: Famed photog Pamela Mougin flew across the pond from England to Denver this week to be with Martini, her love-muffin Maltese, who needed lung surgery. Mougin, who has several pieces hanging in Strings restaurant, left Denver three years ago to follow true love to London.

She left Martini behind with her good friend Kandi Anderson Hartmann, who owns Martini's sister, Nola.

EAVESDROPPING on two women at Argonaut Liquors: "I almost forgot American Idol is on tonight."

"Then girl, you'd better pick a liquor and hunker down."
