* The story: After too much fun vacationing in Vegas, a slacker and an obsessed overachiever unwittingly end up at the altar, but before they can undo the damage with an annulment, the new husband wins a $3 million jackpot he plays with the bride's quarter. Back home in New York, a judge refuses to resolve the case and instead sentences the two to work things out with "six months hard marriage." First one to ask out loses the cash.
* What the critics said: "There are no big surprises, and only a handful of unexpected developments. But Kutcher and Diaz are undeniably appealing as they go through familiar motions in custom-fitted roles, and the scene-stealing supporting players go about their petty larceny with amusing adroitness," wrote Joe Leydon of Variety.
