Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony was selected the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from March 24 through Sunday, the NBA announced today.
Anthony also was also chosen the conference Player of the Week earlier this season for games played Dec. 17-Dec. 23. Teammate Allen Iverson also has won the award twice this season.
For the week, Anthony averaged 26.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists in three games last week as the Nuggets went 3-0 and moved into sole possession of the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference playoff race.
