Denver police are searching for a suspect who shot two men at a Regional Transportation District bus stop in North Denver on Friday night.
The victims, who were not identified, were taken to Denver Health Medical Center.
Police said one of the men was in critical condition after being shot multiple times.
The other victim, who was older, was shot once in the hand and has non-life threatening injuries.
The incident happened at 9:30 p.m. at the bus stop at Albrook Drive and Peoria Street.
"A group of people get off the bus and there is an argument," said Sonny Jackson, spokesman for Denver police.
"One male pulls out a gun and fires multiple times, hitting two people."
It was not known Friday what started the argument.
The victims got back into the bus, and the driver called dispatch, who called police.
"The two people got on the bus for safety," said Daria Serna, spokeswoman for RTD. "They were shot when they were off the bus."
The suspect ran north across Albrook Drive to an apartment complex, where police were canvassing the area late Friday.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid- to late teens, wearing a red and white striped shirt and red Dickies pants. He had a dark complexion and a short-cropped haircut.

Rocky: Too many newcomers on your staff? North Denver is due north of downtown, old Italian neighborhood, Gaetano's, 38th and Pecos, etc. This shooting was in Montbello. Can you try to get it straight?
