Below normal temperatures today, way above normal Saturday; below normal Sunday and Monday; well above normal Tuesday and Wednesday.

Such are the vagaries of late March and early April weather along Colorado's Front Range.

Today's high will be chillier than the earlier forecast, topping out at 48 degrees, say National Weather Service forecasters. There is even a slight chance of snow showers before noon under mostly cloudy skies.

Saturday, though, should be beautiful and sunny with a high of 64.

Not content with such a day, Mother Nature may bring rain, snow and stiff winds to the area Saturday night and Sunday, when the high should be about 48.

There is a decent chance of snow Sunday night into Monday, when the high is expected to top out at 46.

Tuesday will be nicer, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 56, and Wednesday even warmer with a high of 62.

Ski resorts have a chance of snow every day through the weekend and the first part of next week, with highs in the 30s and 40s.

Roads this morning are dry except for icy spots at Loveland and Berthoud passes and Boulder Canyon, and some wet spots on some highways and county roads on the eastern plains.
