Who is brightest?
University of Colorado student Than Hedman, 19, of Denver, is among 15 of "the country's brightest college students" according to syndicated quiz show Jeopardy!, which has invited them to compete in the Jeopardy! 2008 College Championship.
The competition is scheduled to tape at the University of Wisconsin's Kohl Center in Madison on April 11 and 12, and the winner will take home a grand prize of $100,000.
The two-week competition will broadcast nationally starting May 5.
Thorns of corn
If you missed Wednesday's screening of the documentary King Corn, you can see it on Rocky Mountain PBS at 10 p.m. on April 15.
King Corn, directed by Aaron Woolf, answers questions such as:
* Why are Americans so overweight?
* Why are certain foods so cheap?
* Have you heard our average life expectancy is headed down, not up?
