Morales, Redman win spots in Rockies' rotation

Left-hander Mark Redman will start the Rockies' home opener against Arizona on April 4.
TUCSON Left-handers Franklin Morales and Mark Redman today were chosen to fill the final two spots in the Rockies' starting rotation.
Rockies manager Clint Hurdle said if Josh Towers, the other candidate, clears waivers, he will be sent to Colorado Springs to to start in case a need arises with the big club. Hurdle also said if reliever Jose Capellan clears waivers, he will be a starter with the Sky Sox.
Hurdle said Redman will start the home opneer against Arizona on April 4 and Morales will make his first appearance on April 6.
Jeff Francis, who will start the Rockies' season opener Monday at St. Louis, will stay on his regular schedule and start the April 5 game against Arizona at Coors Field.
