Two masked gunmen have robbed five Hispanic eateries and businesses this month, Aurora police said Monday.
The heists have occurred during a 10-day period with the last one taking place on Friday night, police said. The first business hit was Taco y Salsa on South Chambers Road on March 11. In the next 10 days the suspects allegedly robbed Los Toritos Restaurant, Tortas y Tacos, Guadalajara Restaurant and Carniceria Dariana, a meat market.
Witnesses told detectives that both bandits wore hockey masks to cover their faces. At least one of them has been armed with a handgun, police said. Witnesses also have said the attackers appeared to be in their 20s, spoke both English and Spanish and have worn grey and black hoodies and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the robberies should call detectives at 303-739-1835.
