Disagreements between the attorneys over jury instructions Wednesday delayed closing arguments in a gender-discrimination case filed by a former Dish Network executive assistant.
The closing arguments in Sharon Baker's case against Douglas County-based Dish Network are scheduled for today in U.S. District Court in Denver.
Federal Judge Zita Weinschienk earlier this week dismissed claims of a hostile work environment and breach of contract but declined Wednesday to dismiss the remaining claims of gender discrimination and retaliation.
A number of witnesses testified to hearing profanity and lewd comments on a regular basis in Dish's executive suites, but the hostile work environment claim was dismissed on a timing issue.
