Coverage of the Democratic National Convention will be available online in Spanish this year, an unprecedented move, according to convention planners.

The Democratic National Convention Committee announced today that Comcast Corporation will provide an online bilingual streaming of convention activities and provide additional Spanish-language content on the cable television's On Demand service.

"We set out to 'bring down the walls' of the Pepsi Center and make this year's historic convention as inclusive and accessible to as many people as possible," said Leah Daughtry, the DNCC's chief executive officer.

The Spanish version of the convention, Aug. 25-28 at the Pepsi Center, can be viewed at www.DemConvention.com. The simulcast is the first time an entire national political convention will be available in another language to a worldwide audience, the DNCC said.

"With Spanish as the primary language of approximately 35 million Americans - not to mention the more than 300 million Spanish-speakers outside the United States - offering bilingual coverage of the convention makes more people feel welcome under the Democratic Party's 'big tent,' said Leticia Van de Putte, a Texas state senator and convention co-chair. "As a Texan and a Latina, I'm proud to belong to a party that embraces the Hispanic community."

As Denver is a sanctuary city, this is a public service.

Then why not have the drunkfest in an open field at some farm in Kansas? Would save Denver taxpayers a ton of money and headaches, and allow Hickenblunder to get off his never-ending "Begging for Handouts Tour" bus.

In fact, it could help Osama reach out to those "backward little people with their guns and bibles". Osama bin Barak could show up in bib overalls, riding a tractor.... just to show he's really not the elitist snob that he has shown himself to be.....

DNCC: Aren't we being a little bit prejudicial by just reaching out to the hispanics? Could there be a reason for this? Hmmm.
