Boulder man busted for running in buff

55-year-old faces possible jail time and a hefty fine

A 55-year-old Boulder man has been arrested on suspicion of running naked along Folsom Street, north of Pearl Street, on as many as four occasions this month, according to Boulder police.

David Orloff, who lives on Arnett Street - one block east of Folsom and just north of Valmont Road - was arrested about 8:30 a.m. Saturday after someone reported seeing a white male with "long hair and a long beard" running completely nude near Folsom and Pine streets, according to a police report.

He faces a charge of indecent exposure, which could come with a penalty of jail time and a hefty fine.

He also could have to register as a sex offender, requiring him to live away from churches and schools.

Orloff was being held Monday at the Boulder County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

    The Peoples Republic of Boulder outlawed BB guns?! OK, the neighbors should have used a sling shot instead. One other item...he apparently did this four times before and just now they get him? There must be other people who look like roaming the steets of Boulder.

    Radio show asked Hickenstooper what the DPD will do when the naked bikers ride into Denver as promised. He avoided the question. Fair? Nope. So if your in town when the bikers ride by and your little kids have to see that remember, YOUR rights only count if your on the their side of the issue.

    Of course, a little pepper spray goes a long way too.

    Your comment that it's boulder and he's a democrat has me scratching my head. Yes, it's boulder. But, he's a democrat? How did you come to that conclusion?

    And yes, it would have gotten more attention if it were a priest or some other poor slob from a church. Why? Because, for reasons that completely boggle my mind, people put them in positions of trust and respect. We don't expect them to behave in such a bare-a$$ed way. When they do, it's news. For this guy, it is not really news.. but if publication of his plight gets him access to a decent lawyer, what the hec? I'm all for it being broadcast.

    church people, on the other hand, aready have a cauldron of legal eagles at their beg and call.
