State Farm Insurance today said the tornado that hit northern Colorado on May 22 caused more than $3 million in damage to the company’s Greeley campus.
Some $2 million of that amount is to replace broken windows, damaged metal and repair the roof. The campus also suffered uprooted trees, demolished vehicles and broken light poles.
“We knew the damage would be significant, but we were surprised at the amount,” said Facilities Manager Herb Guerrero.
State Farm has received more than 5,300 home and auto claims from the severe weather that caused damage that day across Weld County.
