Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall walks off the field after getting into a pushing match with the San Diego Chargers defense in 2007.

Douglas County Sheriff's deputies said Monday they have fielded "about 11" calls for service to the Highlands Ranch address of Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall since January 2006.

However, most were for minor incidents, some did not involve Marshall and only one, a March 27, 2007, call resulted in his being arrested. That case involved an alleged a domestic dispute in which the charges that were later dismissed.

Individual records on the various calls were not available Monday, however, Sheriff's spokeswoman Cocha Heyden said the calls appeared to range from noise complaints to an arrest warrant on an individual other than Marshall.

"What that tells me is that there wasn't anything of criminal value for us to take a report," Heyden said.

Marshall's attorney Harvey Steinberg could not be reached for comment.

Since June 2006, Marshall and his ex-girlfriend Rasheeda Watley have been involved in a series of domestic incidents, in Colorado, Florida and Georgia.

On two occasions police in Florida were called on reports of loud arguments between the couple, but no charges were filed.

On March 6, 2008, Marshall was arrested in Fulton County, Ga., on investigation of misdemeanor battery after Watley accused him of hitting her in the mouth and eye.

However, Steinberg later described that incident as "unfounded and untrue" and Marshall called it an attempt by his ex-girlfriend to shake him down for money.

Marshall also was arrested in Denver on a driving under the influence charge on Oct. 22, 2007. He pleaded not guilty. That case is still pending.

You hire Harvey Steinberg when you've got big legal troubles.

You don't need him for a parking ticket.

The Douglas County sherriff's office said that after 11 calls in 24 months "there wasn't anything of criminal value for us to take a report."

That's what they said about OJ's home in Brentwood. Only Nichole didn't call the cops half as many times.

Maybe after 15-20 calls from the same residence they'll find something to write about in the report. It doesn't take Encyclopedia Brown to know there's something fishy about this.

Such a model citizen. I'd be priviledged to has him as my neighbor.

Probably one of the safer neighborhoods in DougCO with all the police presence. Nevermind the shake downs/smackdowns, noise, and riff raff with outstanding warrants afterall, nothing "criminal" to be concerned about.

The more I read about Brandon Marshall's troubles with this ex-girlfriend of his, it's starting to sound more & more like a long time abusive relationship. I believe I read they had been together since the age 13. Sadly, I think Marshall is the one who's being abused. In most cases, the police have reported this woman being the one out of control when they respond to calls.

Like most people, I believe the incident with his arm injury was a lie. As with most abused people, they tend to make up stories to protect the abuser. "I fell, I bumped my head."...or in Marshall's case, "I fell into a TV". Of course, there was that previous police report of Marshall's girlfriend attacking him with a knife. Could it be she was the cause of the deep cut to his forearm?

It's sad that men are automatically thought as being the aggressor when it comes to domestic violence. I'm as guilty of this kind of thinking as much as anyone else...but women are very capable of being the abuser.

As wrong as it may be, for men it's often embarrassing to admit that you are the victim of abuse by a woman. I'm sure if you were an NFL star it would be even harder to admit.

I just wish people wouldn't automatically villianize the kid because he's a guy. Guys are not ALWAYS the problem in a abusive relationship. Investigate all these police calls, and you might be surprised.

Most of Marshall's girlfriend's stories seem to contradict those of the police and witnesses and have the smell of wanting money.

I've lived in the same house for 8 years, and have NEVER called 911. Loser thug wanna be. What is wrong with these athletes? They're all a bunch of overpaid whiners. The NFL needs a stricter morals policy and start taking all their money if they can't act like normal adults.
