* Series history: The Reds lead 70-59 overall, including 43-22 in Cincinnati and 12-4 at Great American Ball Park, where they have won 10 of the past 12 against the Rockies.

* Roster report: Pitchers Jared Burton (right lat muscle), Aaron Harang (right forearm) and Kent Mercker (lower back); shortstops Jerry Hairston Jr. (right hamstring) and Alex Gonzalez (right knee); and outfielder Ryan Freel (right hamstring) are on the disabled list.

* Quickly: Adam Dunn has 11 home runs in his past 21 games and eight of his past 13 hits have been homers. . . . Rookie outfielder Jay Bruce has a career-high 12-game hitting streak, the longest by a National League rookie this season. Bruce is 15-for-51 (.294) with one homer and five RBI during that span. . . . Ken Griffey Jr., who has 606 home runs and is fifth all time, three behind Sammy Sosa, is 9-for-26 with four doubles, one homer and five RBI during a seven-game hitting streak. . . . Reliever Mike Lincoln's scoreless streak of 151/3 innings is the longest by a Reds pitcher this season and the longest active streak in the NL.
