Fatal shooting in west Denver

A man was shot and killed late Wednesday in west Denver.
At 11:47 p.m. Denver Police received a call from a resident who said several people were fighting in front of 1525 Osceola St. Neighbors also reported hearing gunshots.
Police officers responded to the call and found a man who appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Denver Health Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Denver Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide. The name of the victim is being withheld pending identification and family notification.
