It's the democrats that are to blame for high oil prices

It was amusing to hear Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Mark Udall’s spokeswoman blame Republican opponent Bob Schaffer and President Bush for high oil prices and dependence on foreign oil (Shaffer hits the road in search of votes, RMN July 16). Everyone knows that Democrats like Udall wedded to the agenda of environmental extremists are the real parties responsible for reduced domestic petroleum production and refinement.
Sorry, Congressman Udall, but Colorado voters suffering at the pump are smart enough to see the fingerprints of Don’t Drill Democrats like you all over our skyrocketing gasoline prices.

Any smart Republican person knows to blame the party not in power for all our troubles.
Eight years of Senate, Congress and President, and it all must be the Democrats fault. Those don`t drill Democrats. And you Republilcans couldn`t fight them, those no drill Dems?

You ever notice it's the same small group of people who always seem to get their letters posted in the RMN blogs? Between Anthony Fabian and Brian Stuckey, I'll bet that's nearly half of the letters!
And you know what? Neither one of them has a clue, and both of them simply blame Democrats for all problems. Neither one will acknowledge that Republicans share in the blame they are handing out. They're both simply political hacks.

When Mr. Obama is president Oil companies, the true culprits of mistery, will run and hide because they know that he's not in their pocket. Oil is a natural resource. Why should one cartel (read cagoule)enjoy all the benefits and none of the liabilites? Why shouldn't we all enjoy the profits? Why shouldn't oil companies belong to all of us instead of to just a lucky few?
Wealth is a ghetto.

Anthony,
Why didn't the Republican controlled Senate, Congress and President get this drilling fiasco done when they had no opposition for the last 6 years?

The entire congress of the United States, is to blame for our dependency on imported oil. They have become totally ineffective.
No leadership, nobody to stand up and say what they all know to be true
They spend more time trying to raise money to get reelected than anything else. We have more oil in the United States the all of the middle eastern countries combined. Yet still nothing has been done. Remember Jimmy Carter? He said we need to be oil independent.
almost 30 years ago. Oh yea, he also said we would run out of oil
in 25 years.
