John McCain will be here July 25.

Sen. John McCain will be returning to Colorado to speak with Hispanic veterans at a luncheon July 25.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee will speak at noon during the women's luncheon at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel, where the American GI Forum will be holding its 60th national conference July 22-26.

The American GI Forum is a national Hispanic veterans group that advocates for veterans' rights.

The organization recently made news when it confronted the Public Broadcasting Service and historian Ken Burns for excluding Hispanic and American Indian combat stories from Burns' World War II documentary.

The group was able to identify Hispanic and American Indian accounts that were edited into Burns' documentary.

The public can attend the luncheon but must make reservations with John Padilla of the American GI Forum. Cost for the lunch is $75 per person. Padilla can be reached at 303-934-3433.

Sen. Barack Obama, McCain's Democratic opponent, was invited to speak at the conference but will be traveling at the time. It has been reported that he will visit Europe and the Middle East later this month.

However, Obama's wife, Michelle, is scheduled to be in Denver on Wednesday for a fundraiser.

It also will be held at the the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel.

A $10,000-a-ticket VIP reception starts at 5 p.m. A general reception follows at 5:15 p.m., with tickets selling for $1,000.

Both candidates' campaigns are targeting Colorado as a battleground state, and Hispanic voters are expected to play a key role in the outcome.

Wow, Tommy...it was a nice try trying to impersonate a dumb Republican. But, not all Republicans are asleep in front of the TV with drool coming out of their mouths. So go back to being the Democrat or Unaffiliated that you are and stop trying to post erroneous posts to make us smart Repulicans look like forlorn idiots.

And to Big_D...your mother and grandmother would be so proud of you.
