The Nuggets considered trading for Sacramento Kings forward Ron Artest in February, and he's again on the trading block.
Artest wrote in e-mails to the Rocky Mountain News that he doesn't want to play for Denver.
"I cannot play in Denver because they question my drive to finish my career off strong and not embarrass my family," Artest wrote.
Artest wasn't specific when asked who might have been critical of him. He also was asked if this means he won't consider Denver as a 2009 free agent.
"That's not even an option to be a Nugget," he wrote. "They let me know how they felt about me already."

In one word...GOOD. As a nuggets fan I "question his drive to finish his career off strong and not embarrass his family". If they could get Melo motavated on the defensive side of the floor they wouldn't need Artest anyway.

This is a good thing, because Ron Artest is obviously nuts. He probably had a dream where someone for the Nuggets made fun of him and now he thinks it was real. Any time over the long haul is better off without this guy.

On my last post I meant to say any team not any time. Yeah...maybe I'm the crazy one.

Hinrich for Camby, sign and trade Okafor for AI and a draft choice- that would be a new lineup the Nuggets could build on.

I'm glad that he has taken Denver off his list. I hope this ends once and for all the moaning and groaning that we didn't take him in the first place. Who needs a guy like him?

The lames can't afford him anyway. The Nuggets need to question their own drive since 90% of their decisions have shown their commitment to loose is alive and well.

Hey front office, how about we question our own players drive to play actual D? Maybe if we didn't need someone like Artest then it wouldn't matter if he wanted to play here or not...it still doesn't really matter but we are making no moves right now that will help us improve. Dump Camby and Najera and get nobody in return. Good work, Ron Artest refusing to play here is just another sprinkle on the cupcake that is Denver basketball. Soft.
